'21 Grad who just got laid off a year after starting with a RE Developer. I'm lost right now and not sure what to do. My main focus was around project valuations, and proforma analysis. Has anyone gone through this? Especially so early on in my career.

Worst part of consulting is we rarely get to participate in these natural days of unproductivity with the rest of the corporate world because clients still expect you to be on point no matter what’s happening around you. I just wanna sit at my computer anxiously refreshing NYT all day. This is also generally been the case for the entire pandemic.

My first time buying a home and my fiancé second. Last time he was able to sit down with the loan officer and review any questions he had about the documents because there is a lot of language in there that isn't used by average people. Our current loan officer from the same bank branch wants to do everything electronically, and it's a battle just to get our answers. We're willing to lose the loan before signing on to a debt of $350 without knowing all of what we're signing on to.

Is there any way to protect yourself during the home buying process and validate what realtors are saying when it comes to their “negotiations”?
