How to compensate for long term unemployment? After getting let go from McK earlier this year, I've been unemployed for close to 6 months and explaining it to prospective employers is awkward and uncomfortable. Any advice on how to navigate this?

In my attempt to learn more about racial bias, the topic of micro-aggressions has come up many times. As I read the examples of micro-aggressions seem clear to me, but I am concerned that the examples are the most blatant or that hindsight is 20/20 and I am not recognizing others that I may say or do. If you have experienced to microaggressions, could you please post examples? I am genuinely trying to better understand and educate my (white) self so i can be and do better.

This may be a hot take - but as a younger person, working with parents of small kids (especially new parents) is so frustrating. I frequently find myself responsible for picking up the slack due to their family commitments - it’s also somehow completely socially acceptable for kids to barge into zoom meetings screaming. I wouldn’t find it nearly as bothersome if I felt like leadership and parent colleagues took my issues and non work commitments seriously in addition to that of parents and kids
