I dont see how else. Just saw a fang opening thats a fit but it had 200+ applicants within a day. I can see why recruiters would choose to favor referrals.

I applied directly and got in. Your application will be looked at if you apply without a referral but you need to make sure you are a good fit for the role to get an interview. Referrals give your application more leeway but you still won’t be able to land an interview if your resume is not a good fit. For example, applying for a senior strategy role when the bulk of your experience is PMO is not going to get you an interview regardless of how good your referral is.

Do it the old fashioned way. I'm serious

Do it enough times, and you get free government paid housing and food!

I have applied directly and landed interviews. So far the jobs haven’t made sense for me but it’s possible!

I can’t stop thinking about how I may have low balled myself. I asked for $85k and above, but now I want $90k and above. How do I go about this and ask for more? Still haven’t had the interview yet though. Any advice on when and how to do so?

Today I had a 4th round interview and gave a 10 min presentation for a position I really want. I honestly love everything about this position and is my dream job. I thought it went really well & she seemed very positive. She said she would follow up with the ceo (who I already met with) and let me know about next steps. I was originally told there would be 5 rounds and with every other round I’ve known next steps before I left the interview. This time I had to wait. Is this a good or a bad sign?

Im a recent grad on a tech implementation project for a small firm. I’m finding it challenging because I’m expected to know how to solution a user problem based on the system that I really don’t know all the ins and outs of. I enjoy the req gathering/PMO activities, but thinking of data mapping and integrations is such a new way of thinking than a typical strategy-based case study. Do strategy ppl find these tech implementation difficult?

Been 2 weeks and I am tired of pumping. I only pump like 20-30 per session and 5x a time but each time it takes almost 1h from start to finish (lube the flange, gather the equipment, find a spot, find my water/food, pump, clean up and put stuff away) and I am not even washing them (hubby is doing that). What did you do to make it more efficient? Also I can't seem to figure my flange fitting. I follow the guidelines and the suggested one is more uncomfortable than a large size. Help.
