How much work, if any, does MBB do with Bill & Melinda Gates, World Bank, USAID, etc.? Could one specialize in doing this type of work?
Can you survive with no skills? Am exiting MBB for VC soon and recently realized I don’t have any differentiated skills, just general problem solving. Will I be able to just coast along forever?
Why does everyone put Tech / FAANG on such a pedestal, claiming it’s better than MBB. Sure, the comp and WLB may be better, but you won’t be doing as meaningful and impactful work e.g. Govt Covid response, Gates foundation projects, industry defining projects in the space of a few months etc
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Do MBB Public & Social Sector consultants get paid less than their commercial counterparts? How about Partners?
Looking for referrals in consulting roles at MBB or T2 strategy firms. Experience into strategy, change, transformation, analytics & operations excellence. YOE : 12
I gotta say, when FB was launched we only had the Big4, MBB, ATK, OW, Accn, IBM, LEK, Booz. Also, focus was MC/Strategy. I've come to appreciate firms like Slalom, Huron etc -not so much audit group
Why is ACN strategy unnecessarily selective? They only recruit from a select few schools (no exceptions) even if at another top school. MBB/Deloitte/OW/Parthenon/LEK/ATK have much greater flexibility.
Does MBB have a strong presence in the DC area?
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
Took the GRE instead of GMAT, does consulting firm like MBB look at those if it’s high enough?
Got an offer for a tier 2 firm and accepted it. Are there any actual risks of getting my offer revoked if I apply to mbb?
What are the best consultancies for digital strategy and customer experience design? Do any of the B4 or MBB have strong practices here?
How many interview slots are usually provided for MBB in Canada? Is it allocated by specific school? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
How is non-MBB consulting viewed in the big scale? Looking into exit opps, but people keep acting like I’m giving up gold by trying to leave, yet I feel like almost anything is better than here
Generalist strategy consultants (esp those at MBB or T2), how hard was PERM for you? I know someone failed PERM because company did recruit someone (US citizen) with same title (entry level generalist software developer) and does same work, during the PERM period. I imagine that’s an issue for consulting generalists as well given companies recruit tons of Americans as strategy consulting generalists as well, right?
Best SPG spots for a honeymoon?
Advice for young attorneys dealing with non-billable workload? I’m still my first two months at my firm but a ton of the work I’m being assigned is non-billable. I understand if I’m not still fully on boarded but how are we supposed to keep up billables while being given time consuming non billable work?
Slalom Consulting folks: what salary would you expect 1-2 years post-MBA? Medium COL city if that matters.
Does anyone know what PwC's health benefits are like? I am onboarding and the packet just says it covers up to 75% of a gym membership or something like that. I'll be in the NYC office too if that affects anything
What makes a successful intern application video? The bane of my existence. Wanting to v/o or show my face in it the whole time.

Can you get fired or laid off if you are on a short term disability leave? Does this call for a lawsuit if this happens?
I am starting to question my existence in this world. I have a nice job, decent salary, i work out and eat healthy, maintain my health, read 3 to 4 books every month, dont have any personal commitments (single), in my early 30s and things cant be any better. Of course with the exception that i had a real bad break-up with my fiancé 6 months ago. And i dont have any symptoms of depression, but there are days when i just feel like what is all this for?
Anyone take SHRM? How many hours did you study?
Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?
I'm speaking with EY and KPMG regarding advisory roles. Currently an audit senior 1. Anyways, is there a big salary jump? Has anyone done this jump and what % and/or $ was your raise?
