Very confused about inflation data in the past few months. Aside from used cars and energy, all other categories data looks like there’s only a mild 2% inflation. But my everyday experience feels like things are more expensive, by like 7-10%. Do y’all feel that? Is there something I don’t understand about CPI data calc?

Moving to NYC in a week (legit just found out today that we got the apartment). Very anxious about it as I’ve only lived in the suburbs in very spacious rooms and with my parents.
