Where can I get the best latte in the city
Hi my IBM sharks !
With reference to creating a tax saver FD for tax exemption under Section 80C for FY 2022-23, what is the last date by which we need to create the Tax Saver FD and upload it as investment proof on IBM Tax declarations portal?
I know that in December we need to upload the investment proofs, but do we need to get the Tax Saver FD created before that?
6/9 😆 check in! What are you up to?

I think thank you emails are always necessary. (IMO an email suffices in this current remote environment). Otherwise it seems like you don’t care about the interview/position.

Thank you very much!
Personally, I appreciate a thank you note. For me, not sending one won’t hurt, but sending one will make me remember the interview and appreciate your courtesy. There are definitely other (older) partners who notice when they don’t receive a thank you. I don’t think any interviewer will be annoyed by a thank you. Just keep it short (3-5 sentences) and to the point. If something was discussed in the interview that you can follow up on, that can help!

^ 100% this. And while an email is adequate and has become customary, I really appreciate handwritten thank yous and they are memorable because almost no one sends anything written by hand anymore.
Yes must do one of those. I like notes in mail but em ok esp given pandemic

The last recruiter I worked with says they aren't necessary, but I still send them.
I find them annoying but it doesn’t impact my decision at all. I’ve usually already written my review by the time they arrive anyway.
Agreed they are annoying if they are just vacuous and boilerplate but nice touch if you had something from the interview you spoke about.
I’ve never done it. I think it’s a two way dynamic where I get to learn about the company they get the opportunity to interview me. I don’t think anyone should be thanking anyone else.

Surely it’s a two way conversation and evaluation but if you want the job I wouldn’t project an attitude that the firm is fortunate to have the opportunity to interview you.

I like this. It seems like such a simple thing, but completely true that not many people take the time for it any more. I’ll definitely consider doing this in the future. Thank you for sharing!
