Are the job postings on LinkedIn for real or are they merely attempts for companies to research who is in the market pool of job seekers?

They’re real for a lot of companies. I’ve gotten hired through reqs I originally found on LinkedIn 2x.

Don't get paranoid with those job postings. They are real and more often than not can link you to the job you want or need

like

Real for us! We actually pay to have our roles listed and sponsored on LinkedIn.

Exactly lol

I feel for the TA community right now. It has to be difficult either being overwhelmed with applicants or not finding anyone at all. That being said, I can't understand why so many qualified candidates are being overlooked, not even getting preliminary conversations.

I post real jobs there that I’m trying to fill! :)

Real!!! I usually only apply through LinkedIn and have always gotten responses for interviews.

When you list yourself on LinkedIn as open to new opportunities only recruiters at other companies can see that the recruiters at your company cannot see it

Real! Corporate recruiter that hired me is very active on LinkedIn.

They’re real. I’ve had quite a few interviews that started through LinkedIn applications.

Real.

Real for us. If any of our postings are for resumes to submit with a proposal, we indicate that by saying it's a future opening.

Hey guys,

I have got an on-site opportunity from my company but the package they have provided seems less to me as per my work experience. Current YOE 12. Provided package for on-site (US - New Jersey) is 74.6 K.

What should be the minimum package offering and is there any negotiation possible.

Our system is really lacking and we do a lot of work outside of it to track data. Currently I’m using Excel to track data from multiple resources, however, it’s so manual and prone to error. Any suggestions to keep the data clean when I have to pull info from multiple places? I’m constantly auditing and we won’t even look at getting a new system until next year :(

Leaving D for Bain. Are there any restrictions around stock ownership, side hustles, etc? Or am I finally free?

I recently left a company because I didn’t see eye to eye with management about recruitment. The company I worked for regularly touts its commitment to D&I but in the recruitment process my candidates were routinely exited for having natural hair, being too old, too “urban”, etc. I’m not looking to bitterly blow up their spot but I feel like someone needs to be aware of this. This was done at the higher levels of local leadership and I have no connection with anyone in corporate. What to do?

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

Ok if the work environment is toxic and the manager totally unsupportive ... And eventually you leave the job ... During interviews when the HR asks you why did you leave the job ? What should be the answer ? I have often seen / heard that you should never badmouth your boss or company no matter how bad the situation was at work ? Then what should be the answer to this question ?

I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

Without looking, I was recently offered a role at another company for about 30% more salary and 10x the amount of stock options, but I have only been at my current employer for less than a year and feel really guilty about leaving so soon into my tenure. My current employer might match salary, but there's no chance the options get matched.

I'm wondering if I should take the new position, even after less than a year at my company? I can't shake my guilt even though it seems like a no-brainer.

Hello HR folks. Overheard a conversation at work and am curious what is the norm.
If an employee goes out on FMLA, obviously the benefits person sends them the STD, FMLA paperwork etc. But is it the maagers responsibility to maintain communication with the person out on leave and to get a timeline on their return or would that be the benefits team? Or maybe the HRBP?

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
