I am a recruiting manager at Google. I am hiring software engineers pan India for levels L3 & L4.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Should be very proficient in Data Structures & Algorithms.
- Expertise in either Python, Java or C++.
- 3+ years of full-time experience as a software engineer. No freshers or interns.
- Should not have interviewed at Google in the last 6 months.

No. Sometimes there’s particular partners interested in meeting a particular candidate, but a lot of times it’s just a general need for the practice group and the in-firm recruiter just rounds up whoever is available that day. But once you get the offer you are totally within your rights to ask about whether there’s particular partners you’ll be slated to work with, whether so and so has a need, etc. Take their answers with a grain of salt but generally if you proactively reach out to partners and say you’re interested in their practice they are happy and will try to find something to staff you on.
My interview experiences varied. I met with all the partners in my prospective group with two firms (v10 and v50) and met only the partners I would likely work with at the outset at another (v20). During the interview process at each firm, I asked which partners I would likely work with. You can always ask.
