Compared to AirPods Pro?
I have AirPod pros and the M3, M3 is significantly better sound for music. I do use my AirPod pros more because of better form factor for conference calls and working out.
yes! they sound awesome

The wife and I combined use the XM3, XM4 and Bose NC 700.
If you need multiple device support (e.g., connected to phone and laptop at the same time) and better microphones for calls, go for the XM4s over the XM3. Bose does this well.
If you only need one device and can live with slightly better than telephone audio from you on calls, the XM3s are fine. They still have excellent sound quality and noise cancellation.
Both Sony models have very long battery life and excellent audio. The Bose will “only” get you 18-20 hours of battery life, which is about one third less than either Sony model.
The Bose NC 700s are great for calls with somewhat better microphones, but for music the Sonys are better. I find noise cancellation to be pretty close on the XM4 vs the NC 700s with perhaps a slight edge in noisy environments to the Bose, while my wife prefers the Sony active noise cancellation.
If you get the XM4, make sure you update to the latest firmware via Sony’s Headphones app. It improved noise cancellation some over what the initial production units were shipping with.
Slightly off topic, I just got the Bose 700 and not very impressed by the sound quality (decent, but expected more from a premium product). Considering Sony ...
I chose the Bose headphones mainly because of the positive reviews of their mic. Unfortunately, voice quality isn't that good. The only impressive thing about them is the design and build quality. Sadly this doesn't justify the inflated price
I have all 3 Sony bose qc35 and the airpods pro. Sony hands down. No comparison.
Yes. Definitely worth it!
They sound great but a little bit heavy
