Are the wearable pumps worth it? Debating between the Willow and Elvie, but with so many promoted reviews, it’s hard to know what’s genuine and what’s just paid to be said. I currently use a Spectra, but go back to work in February and think being more mobile might be worth it.

I used the baby buddha and found the production/ breast emptying equal to or greater than Spectra. I have heard that willow and Elvie do not empty the breasts as well as spectra but haven’t used them

I have used both and responded really well, but wasn’t using a wall pump at all. I liked the Elvie a little more for the gentler suction but they are both pretty comparable, plan on using containers with the Willow because the bags are way over priced. YMMV

like

Thank you!! Did you have the Willow Go or Original?

I got the elvie. Used it 3 times max. I wasn't producing a ton to begin with, but it absolutely did not have enough suction power to get any meaningful volume out. Just buy a second spectra and leave it at work so you don't have to lug it around.

Also they're not THAT discrete. Like you're not going to be able to go out of your office and have a conversation with the pump on. Your chest will look significantly larger and strange and they do make enough noise where people will wonder why your boobs sound like machines.

I got the baby budda. There is also another small pump with good reviews but I can’t think of the name right now. …I also purchased lengendairy milk cups that will attach to it but honestly didn’t use them much. I just got used to the regular flanges and being in a quiet space and using pump time as me time.

Word of caution: I have heard advice not to use any sort of wearable cups (lengendairy milk, willow, etc) more than 1 maybe 2 times a day because it can reduce your supply since they usually do not empty your breasts as well as traditional flanges. I didn’t really use the cups so I don’t have experience with this, but have just heard it can.

I completely understand! I have the Elvie Stride mainly because a girl I worked with was able to tell me bout her experience.

I used the spectra with my first, and it was a great pump. However, this time I wanted something wearable. I felt stuck with the spectra, and in all honesty, it contributed largely to my PPD. Any lunch or planning time I had when I could have any adult interaction, I was stuck to a wall by myself. I have the Elvie Stride this time, and I love it. I have worn it to afternoon duty under a jacket, while getting things ready in my classroom, and folding laundry. I love my wearable option and the stride has been a great fit for me.

Hi! My husband had a pituitary tumor apoplexy less than a year ago that took 90% of his sight rendering him unable to work. I’m a dental assistant with 12 years experience. I have been staying home with my kids for the last 10 years but recently went back to temping. I would love to find something that was work from home instead. I have a passion for dentistry and the gut/oral health connection. Im also getting my Holistic Gut Practitioner certification. Anyone know of anything that’s work from home?

Going back to work Jan 4 and my 3 month old won’t take a bottle. We’ve tried since she was 1.5 months and she just holds the bottle nipple in her mouth but she doesn’t suck.

For now, I’m ok with breastfeeding while working, but just in case with meetings and whatnot, it’d just be awesome if my husband could feed her.

Any advice? Is it possible to get baby on a feeding schedule that I could just put on my Google calendar as “pumping” time?

Rant: I finally got a baby registry started and sent the link to family... and immediately was told all the things I need on there that I don't have (including things I'm opting to just NOT GET, like an electric pump - why is my nursing preference up for debate????). I hate it already. I'm tempted to take it down, buy it all myself and just tell people to start a college fund if it bothers them.

I'm 38, have had 4 miscarriages and the PRESSURE OF THIS PREGNANCY is unreal.

Any moms who really badly wanted a girl but ended up with a boy(s)? How do you feel now? Do you still want a girl? Would you try again? Does it matter really, or was it just in your head?

Had a difficult relationship with my mom growing up, so always wanted that closeness with my future daughter. FTM having a boy and a little disappointed, but feeling guilty for that too. Difficult pregnancy so likely won't have another. But I want a girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please no woke left gender drama responses. Thanks.

Today again j was sleeping and woke up to feed baby. RealIzed I had let down again only on right side despite more having any gel pad. Is this normal? Should i be worried?
