Is the elvie or willow really worth it?
Ok so for everyone who says they can work from home while watching their kids, they have built this for you. For $5500 it can be yours, compare that to the price of daycare! You’ll be saving money and the boss can’t see your kid on the webcam with this setup. https://www.demco.com/tmc-family-workstation

I used the baby buddha and found the production/ breast emptying equal to or greater than Spectra. I have heard that willow and Elvie do not empty the breasts as well as spectra but haven’t used them

I have used both and responded really well, but wasn’t using a wall pump at all. I liked the Elvie a little more for the gentler suction but they are both pretty comparable, plan on using containers with the Willow because the bags are way over priced. YMMV
Thank you!! Did you have the Willow Go or Original?
I got the elvie. Used it 3 times max. I wasn't producing a ton to begin with, but it absolutely did not have enough suction power to get any meaningful volume out. Just buy a second spectra and leave it at work so you don't have to lug it around.
Also they're not THAT discrete. Like you're not going to be able to go out of your office and have a conversation with the pump on. Your chest will look significantly larger and strange and they do make enough noise where people will wonder why your boobs sound like machines.
I got the baby budda. There is also another small pump with good reviews but I can’t think of the name right now. …I also purchased lengendairy milk cups that will attach to it but honestly didn’t use them much. I just got used to the regular flanges and being in a quiet space and using pump time as me time.
Word of caution: I have heard advice not to use any sort of wearable cups (lengendairy milk, willow, etc) more than 1 maybe 2 times a day because it can reduce your supply since they usually do not empty your breasts as well as traditional flanges. I didn’t really use the cups so I don’t have experience with this, but have just heard it can.
I completely understand! I have the Elvie Stride mainly because a girl I worked with was able to tell me bout her experience.
I used the spectra with my first, and it was a great pump. However, this time I wanted something wearable. I felt stuck with the spectra, and in all honesty, it contributed largely to my PPD. Any lunch or planning time I had when I could have any adult interaction, I was stuck to a wall by myself. I have the Elvie Stride this time, and I love it. I have worn it to afternoon duty under a jacket, while getting things ready in my classroom, and folding laundry. I love my wearable option and the stride has been a great fit for me.
