Been on the bench since getting hired at my new firm in October. I’ve been able to do some great ML/data engineering work for an internal project but
I need this guy for many of my client meetings
Will d usi hold internal technical interviews for (Solution Advisor - cyber infra) project allocation ? I'm a lateral hire and yet to be assigned with a project. Kindly enlighten me. Also how many days can one be on the bench usually?

If one is on a long workshop call (not an optional one and spanning more than a few hours) that spans across the lunch time period, does your firm or client generally provide for lunch when it's been in-person, or reimburse for lunch when it's been in-person or working from home (the latter particularly due to COVID)?
Hey 🐠 I'm in the bench this week and a confirmed project next week. Any recommendations to do with free time in NY? Should I even bother going to the office?
Please help on this - 1. Should I mention client name on resume 2. Is it alright to embed link in resume/SOP TIA
I am a Senior Consultant on an engagement for a client I would like to work for. The client is back office and the job is front office. Does anyone have any experience with this?
First day on the project and the partner takes out an hour to teach me how to configure (1:1). Uncle D rocks!!!
A male colleague of mine, who just joined the team this week, has made inappropriate advancements towards me during a team event, touching my leg while talking to me and saying how pretty I am. Worst thing is he’s joining my project too… It’s a no brainer that this is unacceptable, but it’s the first time this happened to me in a work setting and I’m unsure how to handle it. What steps should I take first? Report to HR immediately or speak to my team’s partner first? Any advice is appreciated
The Senior reporting into me has clearly been taking advantage of being semi on the bench even though we are working on a small project. It's 10 a.m. on the East Coast. Wake up, John Doe!!
I heard you speak at the ad age small business conf. where you said you didn’t have a client yet. I was wondering how did you get your clients? Previous relationships? They sought you out? Search?
Any advice for a junior on his first week of a new project with a big team? All I can do is review is architecture documents because I will not have access to any environments for the rest of the month. Feeling quite lost
Very thankful to have a week each month remote on my project. Let's be real, we don't need to be on the client site every week.
I’m so BEYOND burnt out. The client work in my industry has not slowed at all yet they laid off a bunch of people. This is worse than busy season 😡 but as they say “this will be a growth opportunity”
Has anyone left their firm to be an independent contractor doing similar work? If so, what rate did you bill at? Have an opportunity to do some work with an old client and am trying to set a fair rate
Is it worth it to go into the office/network for project opportunities if you're looking for another job and hoping to leave soon?
Shoutout to the client sites with nice toilet paper
How difficult is it to be counseled out at Big 4 firms? Is it common or do you really have to mess up? Are any of the firms more cutthroat than the others?
Best $0 annual fee travel rewards card?
Can anyone tell me if there is Christmas holiday of 1 week in EY GDS for all employees? I'll be joining soon and I'm planning for a Christmas vacation.
HBS MBA program. How did you crack the nod?
I’m a new associate at BCG - started two weeks ago and I have no how idea if im doing well or not. I did a first informal feedback session last week and they told me I need to improve on slide making. Is this normal? I have a 6 months probation and I want to make sure I’m in a good position to pass. Am I being too nervous too soon?
I’m a strategy consultant at Accenture (progression point C, 1-2 years away from manager). Wondering what the comp would be at MBB for a similar role. Experienced hire. McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
How long does it take to get your passport back after successful h1b visa stamping in the Mexico City consulate. Same company. Same position. I’m a Mexican citizen btw. Thanks!

Anyone familiar with Simon Kutcher - in deciding which office to apply for, are the projects region specific/any emphasis towards a particular industry across the offices? What about the size and office culture?
Anyone traveling from Boston back to NYC on thurs? Wondering if hurricane is going to affect that flight route and if I should take the train
A question for Big 4 peeps - if you know the salary range in the group you wanna go for is 150k to 170k, how much should you say when the HR asks you how much you want? Is 180k too much to start with? (Didn’t want to start with 170k since they will only come back with lower I assume)
Agency talent acquisition coordinators: Please don’t try to sell me the job by talking up how talented everyone is at the company as part of one of the “job benefits/comp perks.” 🤢🤦🏻♀️
I am looking for referal in CGI in Python dev position. Please let me know if anyone is able to refer me.
Let’s say one of us gets laid off. Does it benefit our search in relation to opportunities through LinkedIn contacts if we don’t update our employment status? Does it hurt? Does it matter?
I got laid off in august and found a freelance gig a couple weeks later. If the freelance gig goes away will I qualify for unemployment? Assuming I don’t qualify right now, right? (I’m in CA)
I have a good girlfriend who is 7 mos pregnant. Her current gig just cut her salary due to Covid, but offers 3 mos paid maternity leave. She has an upcoming zoom interview with a company with whom she think she’d be a good fit. She’s wondering if she should disclose her pregnancy at a call back interview or after an offer is made. Thanks for any insight you all have!
