Are there any agencies that are actually liberal and only have clients that are moving society forward? Sick of working for brands I don't believe in or for clients whose beliefs conflict with my own.

@group copy supe....pharma is probably the lowest of low. Regularly settling for falsely marketing drugs, using orphan drug loopholes to gain undeserved monopolies and driving prices up. Spending more on lobbying, legal costs and marketing than actual r&d. Idencentivising Drs to prescribe their drugs vs others that may be better. Working with insurance companies to provide kickbacks to pharmacies so many people and rurual areas have to drive hours just to get a monthky RX. Conflating false sense od knowledge to consumers to demand name brand drugs vs take dr recommendations. The list goes on. All of the top 5 spending pharma companies have been involved in at least 1 $200-$900M settlements for illegally, knowingly using false or misleading marketing in just the past 3 years.

I’d rather flip burgers at McD than pharma. No fucking way I’d be able to live with myself working on that crap.

What has surprised me is how when you spend time with big Fortune500 clients, no matter the region. Most of them are moderates, if not fully liberal.

Tell me one client that does not freak out when they find their ads running on Brietbart. To @EVPs point, very few clients are openly non moderate/liberal. There is a big difference between being part of a capitalistic economy vs. being conservative in social values. Also, “moving society forward” is incredibly subjective. One can argue you move society forward by cutting big businesses’ taxes to improve margins which then create jobs and grow more middle class economy.

AdCouncil and 72 seem to be doing actual good work with a cause.

Most clients are corporations and corporations only care about shareholder return. That being the case, most clients’ values and beliefs will conflict with our own.

Just saying very few agencies can turn down business on anything outside of he lost extreme ideology. Doesn't mean you have to work for the NRA/Koch Bros. But you may find some pretty capitalistic clients, you know... trying to market to consumers and everything.

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.

Thinking about a career shift so I don’t get stuck in a niche my whole life. Currently I am an Underwriter for group benefits (life, accident, disability, leave) with about 6 yoe. I have a Finance degree but no licenses; extremely detail-oriented and good with numbers. Thoughts on transferable skills to other careers? Was thinking maybe Data Analyst, Benefits Consultant, or even UW for a completely different product line. Appreciate any input!

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

My husband has been diagnosed with burnout and is currently on sick leave. I know I should support him, but I am primarily angry at him. Angry because issues I have asked him to address for years (inability to voice his opinion, e.g. towards his parents, inability to make a decision or even express his preference) have let to this situation in my mind. Angry because I can‘t count on him exactly when life is tough for me - my mother died from cancer at 68 last autumn.
Thoughts on how to cope?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

How Is the future of C++ language . I have been working on c++ for almost 1.5 years in a health care industry to maintain legacy code base.
But my current pay is only 10 lpa. While my friends in full stack developer role is earning twice my package .

So I am confused , will the package get better if I switch companies ???? Or is it better to switch the tech stack itself ????

I like c++ coding much more than any language .but package is also my concern.

Thanks in advance
