Edelman paid for me to relocate to the west coast and they have done so for other folks of all levels. If there’s a need in an office there and you fill it, they will pay. If there’s no need and you’re just swapping offices to work on your same clients for personal reasons it’s less likely. Also worth noting though that the relocation money is nothing special — enough for maybe your plane ticket and shipping a few things but you’re not going to be able to hire professional movers or move an entire apartment of furniture.
As an AS, Edelman hooked me up with a corporate apartment in Chicago for the summer when I moved from DC. This was about five years ago. It was generous, especially given that I relocated for my partner’s job.
As an AE? Not likely unless you have a specialized skill set or have worked in a niche that not a lot of other candidates at your level have. A lot of agencies will still consider you if you relocate yourself, but they’re not going to spend extra money on relo if they have viable candidates in their backyard.
No one is going to pay you to relocate. I would focus on companies that would LET you relocate.
