I was recently offered a Zoom interview. I had 10 slots to choose from. I took the first slot available. Three were one day earlier this week and the rest are next week. Does it look good (or desperate, lol) on my part that I took the first time or should I have waited until next week so that I would be fresher on their minds when choosing a candidate? Also, do interviewers still appreciate a handwritten note after an interview?

I had technical and behavioral interview today at Deloitte Canada for visual analytics and information design position.
In technical round there was a case study to create visual data sheet and present it to technical round.

It went good they asked couple of questions and showed that at some point it lacks of continuity and rest thing is good. I have been told we will discuss and send details to HR and you will get update within few days. What are the chances that they can hire me ?

On the resume in between jobs, what is the longest gap period that I can have without them questioning about it?

Job I applied to required an analytical screening test, then I spoke to the recruiter after passing it. Now there’s another lengthy take home assignment followed by 2 more interviews. Would you give up on it? Would you ever in this situation suggest/ask not doing the assignment?

Applied for a B4 senior forensic role, but was not even granted an interview after my initial phone screen with HR; I’m confused why because i thought they needed bodies. My background includes 4 years of forensic experience on multiple investigations and program oversights, 5 years in other professional, non-forensic roles, and i have both a CFE and a CPA under my belt. This is for a guidewire role.
Which is a better offer? What would be a good option for growth wrt role, salary etc.
Also, PWC claims to offer variable based on their fixed CTC based on the ratings.. is this true ? How much is the avg percentage given?

Went through 5 interviews with a company only to find out they decided to go internal…but yeah 5 times I had to prepare and all pumped that I was getting closer. Then I had 3 interviews with another organization after the 3rd one I was told they would get back to me the following week. It’s now more than 2 weeks… This is so discouraging but is it the norm nowadays?
