Wanted to know about growth opurtunities in this organization
There is no need to post the same post in both the BigLaw and Law bowls (and not limited to union poster). Pretty much everyone subscribes to both. Stop it.
Serious question: is anyone genuinely happy that they’re a lawyer and enjoy what they do on a daily basis? I’m not talking about the joy we get when something is over/resolved. I’m taking about the actual daily work.
Waiting for the day B4 firms start setting realistic yearly growth goals so we can actually meet those numbers.

Hi Bain’ers, It will be super grateful to know what is the entry level package for a Manager in non-consulting role e.g. PPK. For reference, YOE - 11 yrs, 34 LPA fixed is my current package, not a manager.
My SO got mugged last night :( we had a fight and she stormed off to her car from my place and it happened right before she could get in. I heard her screaming so I went out and ran the direction she.

I just wanna say that my head feels better since I take lion's mane extract. I stopped zoning out, I have less narrations in my head simultaneously. I can actually do tasks on almost time. If someone wants to try, it's mandatory to take vitamin c with it. It's a life changer for me. I wanted to share it.
I don’t know about anyone else but I’m feeling like I’ve hit a wall and the thought of coming to the end of the year is giving anxiety. BUT I’m glad we have each other for support. This bowl is for us. Would love to know what happy discoveries you found this week.
Happy adhd awareness month ✨
Update from my last post !
I am proud to say I finally have been diagnosed with ADHD , OCD , Depression , Anxiety and Bi polar ! My next step in my journey is finding the correct counseling and transitioning into medication
Curious if any other neurodivergent recruiters or people operations have been put on a PIP and what was your outcome?
Looking for a good playlist to keep me motivated this morning :( I usually listen to Ava Max or something #ADHD is real!!
I have serious anxiety at work and at the hospital that’s why I don’t like hospitals 😂
Sometimes I cry
Finally found a provider who listens and is helping me get ADHD controlled. Also diagnosed me w/anxiety. Treating w/Adderall and Wellbutrin, but she's telehealth so can't prescribe anymore. Was transfering Rx to my PCP under her guidance but my BP was high at my yearly (was a particularly stressful day at work, BP was normal the last 3 years). PCP won't coordinate care until I see a cardio. Anxious something will be wrong and I can't be treated for ADHD anymore 😩 anyone else here w/high BP?
Anyone on stimulants still have some “perfectionism” anxiety or anxiety because you’re not sure you’re doing the right/best thing and therefore become inefficient. What do you do?
Strat consultants: work performance Remote vs In-Office. Do you find you are able to perform better in an office as there are less ways you can procrastinate or relax than at home?
Do you disclose you're ADHD in an interview or where you're already working?
Ever since I was diagnosed, I always do because I want to make sure they understand I need accommodations and I'll fit in due to my symptoms.
Are there any work accommodations or benefits that you have at your company that help you to be productive with your ADHD? For example, having your desk away from foot traffic? What about those who work from home? Trying to figure out what might be helpful accommodations for those of us who are neuro spicy.
This question was asked in my company bowl: Be brutally honest. Are you more or less productive WFH?
Everyone in the comments said more productive at home and I'm curious if this bowl would have a different consensus. I'm way more productive in the office, although I don't go that often, so maybe it's the change of scenery that helps.
Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I’ve been trying vitamin D and working out, but it makes my “highs” and “low” SO extreme. The simplest things are so complex in my mind.
If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.
McKinsey & Company Bain & Company URGENT ADVICE : Presenting to client in 10hours: how to be very time conscious?! Will have like 30m for 12 slides but when on stimulants find it very difficult to be conscious of time or even look at time when I’m busy presenting. Thoughts?! Is it more difficult to hear (or process hearing) things when on stimulants? Several times people speak to me and then I feel I didn’t hear or understand them, never happens off stims: Any similar experiences?
Had anyone had luck with a therapist that specializes in adhd? I’m inattentive type and have a laundry list of other things I should go to therapy for but adhd is the glue
So today was my first day on a stimulant (diagnosed as an adult), and everyone says its suppose to feel like *boom* magic, or normal (?) , I guess. Knowing that is figurative, what should I actually be expecting? I feel mostly the same, I think, though I came in and actually did started my work today. But I mean, somedays I do that...I just don't want to psyche myself out if I'm expecting too much. Or pscyhe myself in if I actually might not be experiencing what I should.
New to Fishbowl?

Realtor consultant aka sales support specialist for New American Funding. Took me a while had to write down my notes look over then until it became muscle memory at that point. Sales part was rough for the first month due to my anxiety/ADHD. I downloaded this app and saw sooo many people posting about ADHD and it gave me the determination that I can do anything.🙏
What is the correlation between strategy and ADHD? I am curious. I am in Strat but never tested for ADHD. But, I think I may have ADHD.
I had similar thought. I’m in Strat. I’m guessing it’s short project length and avoiding boredom! Also Strategy seems less mundane than mgmt. don’t you think?
I’m in PAS with ADHD

Also interested in why you guess majority are in strategy.. shorter term projects?
I’m a management consultant in supply chain.
FYI there’s an ADHD consultants bowl
There is a specific bowl designated for ADHD consultants. I think your questions and your posts will be much relatable in there.
How did you get into Product Management?
Kinda just started learning about tech. I was always interested then find myself watching YouTube videos all day long about product. Currently trying to work consulting though.
I’m in technology and it serves my adhd well. But I HAVE to write things down each morning and I’ll go back to the last day and grab items I couldn’t do and reprioritize. Also, it helped me to have discussions with my manager about what I was brought on to do and their priorities for me to differentiate between what someone else thinks my priorities should be. Bc it is so fast-paced with a TON to learn, if I can accomplish my list for the day, it is a huge sense of accomplishment. Also thanks all for the adhd fishbowl link - def just joined lol.
Mgmt consultant in song :)
Are you enjoying it?
Didn’t tag deloitte… anyways… I’m doing tech PMO and the first few weeks were absolutely a struggle until I got organized. For meeting notes I now have to stay actively engaged in the discussion (will ask questions or clarifying points with my phone in the other room). For the email stuff I have boxes with certain people that I go through then for tickets I’ll make a to do list. Repeating back to someone a task or a ticket they want made off my to do list really help me stay organized and on top of everything.
Ahaha sorry it wouldn’t let me tag Deloitte, but thank you!
