In EY we have a pretty decent network tbh, very usefull in the pursuits.
However, when you try to contact anyone who was in a related project they are either not available or not in the firm.
We have all this fuzzy unique methodologies that no one knows nor understands but we put in all the proposals, but at the end is networking. The global leaders for sectors and solution know where to find someone with the skills and experience, and they try to put some kind of organization around. Still, a 300k people organization has a lot of entropy.

I’d say Accentures KX is good but what’s excellent is everyone’s willingness to share materials and jump on a quick call. Even MDs across the world give you 20 minutes easily without anything for them to gain.
Definitely not what I experienced at D.
Deloitte ofc!
Deloitte lol it’s our bread and butter
To me I more so though methodologies. I feel like Deloitte has a lot of it. But I think others were talking about decks, etc.

How else will you build your “network” if you didn’t have to beg people for their slides? 😆
Lol right right 😂

I think the assumption is incorrect. Most firms with strong, documented methodologies, and a strong repo of IP translates to less creativity, and more of a rinse and repeat approach. I find I’m the most creative when there is not a copy and paste approach to follow, which is why I left consulting
I get that as well, and I think there’s a balance. It’s just that sometimes (as I’m sure you know) you don’t have the time to fully build from scratch. But that goes back to poor scoping ;)
Lek is strong
At Accenture, some of our bigger, more industrialized offerings do but again, it’s mostly just making things up as you go.

KPMG was solid firm a few years ago but unfortunately lost its way - encourage you to seek out greener pastures. To that end, feel free to pop over a DM.

External, naturally.
ZS has this… even in the relatively new space I’m in. Albeit somewhat informal but it exists
Good to know! Maybe I’ll look into ZS.
I’d say Accenture does, but it is very specific to project size and industry. The firm is so big sometimes you take the same amount of time searching for the IP as you would just doing your own research 😂
We have this

I think this is pretty standard. We have our usual frameworks etc.
Boutiques and MBB are about it
Pwc has ‘consulting source’… not 100% what you are looking for
It was ass when I was there earlier this year
I think Deloitte has a lot of methodologies and repositories of leverageable content. But it’s sometimes too much so you don’t look at it. Easier to get materials from colleagues. Still, I think it’s good!
Thank you! This is helpful

Been here for a while, I have my own repository now from all my project or stuff people sent me or what I stole from MBB decks 😉.
It’s really sped my time on projects, but it’s hard to teach younger people to do same and how to speed up by using these templates / cut down content / format creation
Smart! I’ve been trying to do the same, lol. I agree that it takes a lot of effort to teach staff, but I think the return would be significant / worth the time investment!

We have a pretty strong bank of information and project/research that we can use. Also a pretty robust process of asking the broader firm for help and expert knowledge.
Like D4 said, sometimes it’s overwhelming so I just ask my peer group generally for most things and they can point me to the right person/documents
