Are there any digital nomads around here who work as community managers? Do you find it’s a good career choice for someone who wants to work and travel?

Community management can be a great career for someone who wants to work and travel. It can be a lot of fun and it's a great way to meet new people. I've been a community manager for a while now and I love it.

There are definitely some people who work as community managers while traveling! I think it's a great career choice for someone who wants to work and travel because you get to do both things at the same time. It can be a lot of fun, and you get to meet a lot of interesting people.

Community managers need to be able to work long hours, and they often have to put in overtime. It's also not a very lucrative career, so it's not the best choice if you're looking to make a lot of money, which you obviously need for traveling.

I would say that community management can be a great career choice for someone who wants to work and travel. It's a job that can be done remotely, so you have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world. And it's also a job that involves a lot of communication and networking, which can be great for meeting new people and exploring new places.

I spent 3 years living in Europe while working as a community manager for an american company. So many CM jobs are remote! Though it can be a bit more difficult to find freelance CM gigs which is something to consider.

Yes and no. It depends where you'll be travelling and how fast. The problem with having a 9-5 vs freelancing is you need reliable internet and your exploration time is going to be limited.

Hi all, has anyone in supply chain taken one of the certification exams? (CPSM, CPSD, CSCP)
Does it help in any way besides refreshing contents about supply chain? I was thinking might be a good way to strengthen my resume (most of my career in investment analysis) but not really sure if it really brings that much value. Any insights appreciated. #supplychain #cpsm #cpsd #cscp #education #certifications

Have a somewhat confusing question hoping to get some insight. I had to cancel a Southwest flight last year due to covid. They issued a credit but informed me I had to book a flight that was before 9/22/21 or the credit would be lost. Here’s my question: if I book the flight so it is before the 22nd and use the credit to pay for it, if I decide to change flight dates to after 9/22 would that transfer over? Or would I have to forfeit the credit and pay for the flight. Hope this makes sense!

Any United health group remote employees here? I recently accepted an accounting job and some of the onboard makes it seem like I’m only allowed to work from my home office. Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?

How do people focus in the office? I'm a first year and I've been mostly wfh since I started and I'm super productive at home - my setup is comfortable, I rarely get interrupted, and I feel like I can stay really focused in my home office.

Our SAs started today, so the firm is making us come in more often. My office set up is so awkward, screens are too small, and I'm constantly getting interrupted. Not to mention the extra time it took to get ready and commute. How do people do this?
