Brand Strategy/Planning roles aren't typical in PR. So every new Account hire arrives with no experience working with a Strategist. I'm tired of explaining/showing my role adds necessary value. I love strategy, but I have an offer at another agency to move into Account as Group SVP. They want to "customize" the role for my experience, but I'm afraid it will just be on paper and people will expect me to know things I just won't. I can't afford to be fired. Thoughts? Hi! I’m running a startup after work for this neat web app idea for the last year and although we’re still building it, I feel like I’ve learned and directly applied the product management role. And I love it! My question is: should I list this as experience in my resume? I want to do this full time at a real tech company to get more experience just not sure if it would be helpful to get noticed. Currently F100 internal consulting for five years.

Pricing Strategy vs. Marketing Communications (both in Pharma)? Which role do you guys/gals believe better sets one up for a leadership role in marketing in the future. Comp for both roles are equivalent and I like both specializations equally, so neither comp nor interest is a factor. I work at a consulting firm and next year I’m hopefully going to get booked on Data analytics engagements (starting with the business intelligence segment). One AD said it would be helpful to learn Azure cloud. Where should I start with that and what are some the things I should know/ be able to do in Azure cloud? I feel very confident with SQL and Powerbi and I’m decent with Python, but I don’t have a lot of technical knowledge with things like Azure Cloud.

I think I’ve given up on the notion of Project Management and Account Management ever working in harmony.
Creatives, Strategists, Developers are great to work with, collaborative, trusting, etc. But I can count on 1 hand the number of Account folks I’ve enjoyed working with over a long career at many agencies. Anyone ever make the jump to an internal PM role with no client work?

So guys I gave an interview for an analyst (Lead) in Enterprise Data & Analytics unit at a wealth management firm.

The interview was largely focussed on my current assignments and my experience working in past projects.

There were 5 people panelist and out of that 3 turned up for interview. Out of that one panelist kept quite although he was prompted to ask questions and he refused.Also, the other interviewer was Mr. KIA. What do you think about the culture? Any thoughts, is it worth pursuing?
