Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

Dark chocolate. Different % cocoa, bean profiles and origins have different flavours and the right pairing will really enhance your whisky. You’re welcome
“You know what pairs well with whiskey? ... some more whiskey 🥃” 😂
Op, there’s no such thing
Steak, dry aged in a butter cocoon. Seasoned with salt and pepper, rubbed in with extra virgin olive oil. Cooked Rare.
I am from India and it's common to have spicy snacks with whiskey.
There has always been a misconception that whiskey doesn't pair with anything. But it's more a myth
Pairing foods is simply a matter of complementing the flavors so the flavor of the food doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the whiskey and vice verse. Depending on the dram of your choice, cheese, nuts, fruits (all the same pairing with wine) can go with whiskey. As a bonus bourbon etc can go with heartier options like steak

Absolutely. As P1 mentioned the same strategies apply as pairing with wine (complimentary vs contrast, consider texture, think about the journey over the meal, etc), but the basic “rules of thumb” aren’t well established (eg. no equivalent to the white for fish, red for beef rule).
Sadly there aren’t a lot of restaurants that focus on whiskey pairings, but they do exist in whiskey regions. I found a surprising many last year in Scotland.
In the US you’ll have some success if you look for tasting events hosted by brands. Those often have food pairings, but of course they’re biased towards the brand in question and don’t explore variation.

Here are some suggestions:
Avoid sweet whiskeys with tart foods, salty foods are better in that scenario. Fatty foods should work well because the bite of the whiskey will cut through the oily texture. Thus bacon is a natural fit, but avoid mixing similar additive flavors like maple bacon with maple bourbon. When the same flavors are in both food and beverage, you lose the intensity of that flavor and both seem blander as a result. You are aiming for flavor combos that will accentuate each other.
Look to what you know works well in food - pepperoni goes great on 🍕 with mozzarella but not so great with gorgonzola so a spicy/peppery whiskey will likely work well with mild cheeses, but not pungent ones.
Most importantly, experiment! You’ll improve your palate and discover combos you couldn’t have predicted.
Steak, lightly salted mixed nuts are usually my choices
I like bourbon with steak. Sometimes with dessert too. I wouldn’t drink it with fish.
