Hi Fishes, I'm a Technology Analyst i.e. JL4. I am React JS developer. I have total of 4.5 YOE and my technological stack include React JS, HTML5, CSS, jQuery and PHP Laravel. What is the minimum CTC I can expect and how do I negotiate for highest package. Please help me I feel I'm not getting expected satisfactory CTC.

Totally with you. I feel like we as an industry really need to stop taking ourselves so seriously. C'mon guys, think about it. Even at the very best agency doing game changing work, what we get paid to do is wild. It's goofy. It's downright fucking stupid sometimes. And that's what makes it so great.
Let's lighten up and have some fun already.
Couldn’t agree more 🙌🏻
If you find one, let me know. I miss that shit too...
Let’s collab on something and get out of this rut.

Sometimes you have to be the one to kick things off (corny, I know).
I used to play hallway football with my co-workers. Got in a ton of trouble my first few weeks. Kept doing it on a lower profile. Suddenly I had about a dozen people who would come by and play. Hallway soccer and baseball soon followed.
Sorry that's the experience you've had. Don't give up trying to find people. Sometimes they're better 1-on-1 or in group settings. And obviously the past year has taken a toll on some people's mental health/vibes.
Makes me realize how fortunate I've been to have been surrounded by fun people in my career.
It's a bit like flag football, but a much narrower space hahaha. Couple of receivers. Couple of corners. One person coming after the QB (count to 5 before rushing). You hit the ceiling...a lot. That's a loss of downs.
But most often you're just trying to show off how tight of a window you can toss a ball to your co-worker. How many desks can it fly over? Can you drop it in over the shoulder?

Just do it. Toss ideas around. Worst case you get fired and go work somewhere better.
True, and I doubt I’d get fired for that. But if it happens obviously it’s not a good fit.
When I found myself in meetings by where the CD is an egotistical asswipe I’ll admit to being a bit taken aback. For what, man!? The work is subjective, the awards are paid for and supported with a strong campaign of their own. In most cases, a film director created the content along with a massive team on set and in post. It’s a team effort. And it can be a fun business. But if you start buying all the smoke they’re blowing up your ass then you’ve probably got a bad personality.
Inject fun into the place like it’s a fauci ouchie. And if bad side effects occur, you may be in the wrong place.
On it! Very good point if any backlash comes out of it.
I will say the smaller boutique agencies ARE fun! A lot less bs, quicker decisions and no holding companies pressure to kneel to.
Totally agree! I left one of the tech agencies (was implanted vendor employee) for a MUCH smaller but very credible boutique agency and my creative life has improved immensely.
Yes! I just don’t know any 🥲
We’ve gotta find them!
That’s everywhere unfortunately. I also believe that at most shops there’s definitely creatives like you describe. It’s a mixed bag but keep doing you!
Stay true, as they say. And yeah I’ve been through a couple of shops and there’s always at least one or two.
How would you define “fun”?
I haven’t been doing this job that long. Started as a creative in 2008, right when the fun allegedly ended. At least the boondoggle free lunches, travel, etc fun. 🤷🏼♀️
