Are there any good advertising agencies in North Jersey outside of the city? I’m guessing the answer’s a resounding, no. But, it doesn’t hurt to ask.

There’s an “agency” called Oliver that places people on-site at clients’ offices. I’ve seen a bunch of posts for jobs located in that area.

I’ve talked to them. That place sounds like death.

Slim pickings in NJ, esp outside of pharma (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but there are some depending on where and how you define “good.” BNO, JK Design, Revolution Digital. I can’t vouch for them though

There aren’t many agencies but maybe a couple decent in house opportunities

Many decent pharma agencies are in north Jersey

Did Jenny Mikakos need to step down because of the hotel quarantine scandal?

I think I'm at age where I'm tired of flings. Need to settle down. But it's hard to find a main when you travel so much and have sides in different cities. Consulting is a crazy lifestyle. Anyone else feel the same way?

How often does big 4 hire applicants that a recruiting agency found? Recruiter reached out to me for a position I would be great for? Is this worth pursuing or is it better to wait for a referral?

Does anyone else feel like their burn-out cycle is shorter? It used to take me about 2 years of grind before I hit a burn-out phase where I needed to do some serious recuperating. It feels like I'm at 3 months now, or even less. I've already spoken to my wife about building quarterly mini-vacations into my schedule just to keep my energy up. And by burn-out, I mean you're at the point that every single ball you are juggling can drop and you get fired and almost see that as a blessing.

Is the SPHR or PHR license necessary to pivot into human capital? I have a MBA from a Top 15 school. Any thoughts?

How adamant is ACN with taking back bonus $ if you leave the firm? I got $10k relocation bonus 10 months ago, have to pay it back if I leave before 12. 😭

friend just asked if MBB in consulting stood for "management big boys"...

Has anyone read the book Divorce the IRS by James Miller? I recognize that it’s a relatively new book so not that many people have probably had the chance to read it. But my mind is blown. Should I be pursuing a Roth 401k and not traditional 401k? It seems that even if I retire early, the Roth 401k provides way more tax advantages than traditional. Am I missing something?

I have an offer for £55K as a senior consultant at a boutique firm in London (supply chain consulting). 10-15% bonus and £5K relocation since I'll be moving from North America. Good or bad offer? I have 5.5 YOE total, 2 in consulting

how often do advisory Consultants travel, what are your peak times during the year etc?

Talked to SO about wanting more effort from him, he said he believes in giving what he is receiving & doesn’t chase. However I like to be pursued and feel wanted. Is this a situation of just wanting different things? Or should I start putting in more effort to pursue him and see if it’s reciprocated?

Any other staff feeling like they might try to leave audit earlier than they planned to? Love my firm, but WFH is brutal and the people I’ve formed connections with have mostly left or WFH 99% of the time which leads to less social interaction with them. I figured I’d stick it out for 3 years or so, but with another busy season looming in a few months I’ve started looking at other roles through my network, and wasn’t sure if I was the only one.

Adios consulting! My dear FB family, it's my last week of consulting life. Taking an industry role in a week, please wish me luck that I can survive there.

My pregnant wife's blood work came back indicating 1 in 250 chance of down syndrome. With out first it was 1 in 3000. We are freaking out. Has anyone been thru this what was your experience.

Do the B4 firms offer signing bonuses for experienced hires? Thinking about making a move soon...

For 401k, Deloitte contributes 25 cents for every 1 dollar we contribute. Its matched upto 6% of our salary. How is it other big 4?
