Are there any high paying exit opportunities for Human Capital Consultants that no longer want to work in fast paced, high visibility environments (aka consulting)?

What exactly is Human Capital consulting?

like

Sounds like HR is the exit, but probably not what you wanted to hear.

like

You may be able to find high level HR transformation type of roles with a Fortune 500 that are not overly demanding (since most of the work is done by consultants).

like

OP your best bet is posting in the Human Capital bowl for typical exits — you can ask for role titles and salary examples/working hours

Didn't realize there was one! Thank you!

I’m taking the GMAT in September and would like to include my score on my applications to other firms. Based on what I’m getting in practice, it would significantly improve my resume. However, I heard many firms, particularly MBB, have hiring windows in August, so applying later would hurt my chances. Is this true, and if so, when should I apply? Is it possible to apply earlier and then fill in the recruiter on my GMAT score while I’m in the process?

Hello, A recruiter reached out to me regarding an opportunity in a tech VC/Growth Equity role for a pre-MBA candidate. I need your advice on how to find information about this type of position, what type of career projection I am anticipating and whether a pre-MBA candidate role means that person is in the process of wrapping up their MBA or candidates without an MBA degree. Thank you in advance!

Unpopular opinion. I’m a young woman of color. I think we’re all focusing on race when it comes to violence in America when the issue is actually with men. Men of all colors have been terrorizing America yet everyone is arguing about white supremacy.

Any thoughts on negotiating more vacation time with a new company? Manager leaving Accenture for a specialty firm in Public Sector. Two firms competing for me have offers on the table. The one I like told me they just don't negotiate vacation and everyone from the C-suite down gets three weeks. Losing two weeks a year of vacation sounds awful! Any thought on negotiating? I have a pretty strong position right now. I'm open to options. Though they kind of already nixed the idea of unpaid PTO.

Should I ask for a raise? My 6-month review is next week and I’m thinking about asking for a raise. I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly. I don’t have much experience as this is my first job in advertising (comms background) and I don’t want to come off as naive or ignorant! Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you!

Manager level, looking to exit soon. M&A experience predominantly. Any tips on where to look first (or “how” to look, LinkedIn kinda sucks) that actually compensates around $180-200k? Any/all ideas welcome.

Hi all! So I made the switch to industry 8 weeks ago and took on a completely new role (I’ve got about 6.5 YOE.)I love the org and my new supervisor, however I got paired with a colleague who has made it clear she doesn’t enjoy working with me and has serious issues with my working style. She’s a very senior and experienced person so feels bad that she thinks so negatively of me already. I want to improve, but it will take some time as I’m still relatively new. (Cont)

My life is a Gordian knot of problems. Pretty much every major pillar is a mess: I’ve been trying to deal with abusive family for years, and recently my longterm boyfriend broke up with me, and my job is being given to someone else while I’m pushed to a lesser position. I’ve been trying so hard for so long. I’ve been job hunting for months. I am tired. It really feels like death is the quick and easy solution, the metaphoric “sword” that will solve the unsolvable.

Interested to hear how people learn project management. I have done PRINCE2 exam and read PMP materials, but I find these are too textbook theory based. Real life projects seem to be very different and a lot more complicated. I often do not know what needs to be done unless someone tells me. When you get a rental car, what do you do to make sure you don’t get taken advantage of for some bogus issue/scratch that’s already on the car? Take pic/video before, tell the checkout person of any issues (although this can be hard especially if at a smaller airport & you get the keys in the airport and there’s no gate when you leave), buy the rental insurance? If you have a card that covers rental cars (CSR, Amex Hilton) do you decline rental insurance and use the card benefits?

The idea that the vaccine will somehow be dangerous in the future is kind of ludicrous to me.
