A long time ago, I had an admin tell me I could not have it in my room. I said okay. He then asked "Are you going to take it home?" I replied nope. Never heard about it again.

Electric pencil sharpener and hand sanitizer!

I was gifted a small fridge a few years back and that was a game changer. I can never not have a refrigerator again.

My laptop and Google Classroom. Good to go.

An eraser...

i agree with above plus my trusty projector

Google Classroom is good like someone else mentioned. I use it a lot! As far as things go, I have to have some white dry erase tape. Peel the backing, stick it on containers, filing cabinets, plastic drawers where kids keep their journals in my room, you name it! Gotta have that.

I recently completed my doctorate in Education Leadership. I’m ready to be out of the classroom, but I still want to be hands on w students. What options do I have? Where do I go from here? It’s such a shame teachers have to leave the classroom to be paid what they deserve.

How do I respond to an observation score of a II in an area where I feel the score was unwarranted? I scored III in all other areas. The score was a II because I had students working on Google Classroom & was finishing up emails before I transitioned into the classroom reading. It’s the week before midterms, and I have duty for 20 minutes of my 50-minute planning period in 1st. I have to respond to these emails in a timely manner & all students were working diligently on the first assignment.

Good Evening My Fellow Christian Educators! I realize it is going to be challenging for me this year...with so many of my students performing below grade level expectations in ELA and MATH and also ensuring that all students follow the COVID Guidelines in the classroom. I still feel hopeful that God will bless me with the knowledge on how to effectively impact each one of those kids. Let's remember to keep all educators lifted in prayer this year. Have a wonderful school year!! God Bless All❤️

What is your biggest concern for this upcoming school year for your classroom in this COVID climate?

I took advantage of Verizon’s Black Friday deals and got myself the new iPhone yesterday. I’m AMAZED by all the neat things it can do. One of my favorites is that you can grab text from a picture and have it read aloud. This would be so helpful for my students with vision needs and those with reading disabilities. When do we think we’ll actually see this technology in the classroom? Can’t very well put “iPhone” on a students assistive tech section of their IEP 😂

Hustle culture is responsible for this. We are afraid that we are not doing enough, not being competitive enough. In this whole process we forget to ask ourselves- "If I were to die in next 1 year, is this really what I want to be doing?"
