Are there any must-haves in your classroom that you cannot live without?

How are you preparing your music classroom for long term shut down?
I put small stuff away. Covered all shelves, floor drums, Orff instruments with sheets to deter dust accumulation.

Does anyone do Skype visits/meetings with people working in the STEM field? I feel like this could be a great way for students in my classroom to ask questions and make connections to the real world.

Hey Coaches! I’m Alyssa, and I’m one of the Community Leaders here at Fishbowl. I’ve been in the classroom for 10 years and a classroom coach for 6 (mainly elementary/Pre-K). Excited to be here!

Is anyone else returning to fully in person learning? We have been hybrid/synchronous since September, which has been very hard and not very effective. They want us to have all Kindergarten students come back in March. I want to stop live teaching over google meet all day while also teaching my students in person at the same time, but there is not enough space in my classroom for safe distancing, not enough space for movement, and sitting at a desk all day is not appropriate for K kids!

Band teachers... how do your virtual band classes work? I’ve been doing music theory with students via google classroom and kids constantly ask to play instruments. It seems like a nightmare to have 30 kids with instruments online because of the delay in sound. Help plzzzz

Is anyone at a job they really, truly enjoy that also pays competitively (and has good benefits)? In my experience, I haven’t found anything that satisfies both. Margin question. If I buy on margin and stock goes up, then if I sell only enough to cover the margin and just keep the extra stocks, do I have any tax on that sale if I did LIFO?
