Any companies hiring for Director level+ in Information Security / GRC? I have 8+ YOE - a mix of Big 4, smaller advisory/consulting firm, and industry experience. Industry has been focused on FinTech/Startup space, but focused on mid-size/larger clients when at the Big 4 & smaller advisory/consulting firm.
I love working in the big 4. Forget the hours and focus on the amazing opportunity. I wasn't born in anything close to middle class. I will never take this opportunity for granted.
If a big-4 sized player entered the game without a partnership structure where attrition wasn’t a part of the strategy, would they be more competitive and profitable? Attrition is quite literally what makes promotions viable year after year but also it creates instability in the firm to an extent, it seems.
Can anyone help me evaluate whether I should take an exit opportunity. Currently in big 4 (fsrm) and have the opportunity to join a f250 payments firms internal strategy division. They report directly to the c-suite and said they mainly focus on strategy or M&A and don’t do implementation. The team seems really nice but I’m just worried about leaving consulting and leaving the accelerated progression. Would love some insights as I’m fairly lost on what to decide. Thanks!
Currently considering offers from 2 big 4 firms for entry level audit opportunities. I’m a bit concerned about the burn out that everybody’s talking about in PA. Any advice on how to avoid it or at least minimize the effects?
Have a final interview with 2 MD’s at a Big 4 FDD group as an incoming manager. Any tips on how to prepare?
For those of you that left b4 and got a job in finance or fp&a, is the grass really greener or do you end up hating your job and go for an MBA to do something else?
Can anyone give me more insights on KPMG audit? I have been in audit for 4 years but looking to make the move to big 4. Just wanna hear thoughts on why KPMG (hours, culture, WLB). I am based in NYC
Hello fishers, Do all the big 4 demand their employees to have a coding knowledge? If yes, what language do they look for? If no, what are the other skills they look at?
Any companies hiring for Director level+ in Information Security / GRC? I have 8+ YOE - mix of Big 4, smaller consulting/advisory, and industry experience. Industry has been focused on FinTech/Startup space, but worked with both mid-size/large clients when at Big 4 & consulting/advisory.
Which role do you think is more challenging/stressful: - Controller of mid-sized public company, or - Big 4 Audit Manager
Debating between a role in transaction advisory at Big 4 vs back office accounting at a well known PE firm. Audit is not for me (not the hours or firm but work) so worried about the BO role - I have always wanted to work on deals but worried about the exit ops. Any advice is greatly appreciated, don’t have many friends in the industry and feel like the advice I have gotten has been extremely bias
Thoughts on leaving big 4 before a year to do valuations at A&M? In risk currently and looking to make a switch to something more interesting. Not sure what the long term growth is at A&M or what exit ops they have
Should I switch b4 firms for a 15% pay bump?
For those roles in non strategy such as risk or implementation, does any of the mbb recruit out of non targets? I'm a master's student in business analytics in a non target in NYC, and I really am interested in an implementation/ risk consulting at MBB. ( Different from big 4 risk)
Does BCG, MCK hires people with digital, ERP, AI ML experience. Big 4, MBA from good school. What other firms hire such people other than big 4, Accenture.
How many big 4 people are done busy season right now for audit? Started getting asked to work 80 hour weeks which is why I didn't go big 4. Thinking about switching if it stays this way.
Too early to leave MBB after <1 year for a start up if you think it’s a good opportunity? Anyone with experience doing this? How easy is it to return?
Would you accept capping billable hours at 40/week in exchange for being able to work while completely remote?
Hi, wondering if reaching out to FAANG company recruiter on a mid-senior level counsel role via LinkedIn is useful. Or is it frowned upon given the large amount of applications they are likely to receive on a daily basis.
Just curious, what percentage of your billable rate do you take home? Calculation would be ((Salary and Bonus/Yearly Billable Hours)/Billable Rate). For me it's about 18% as a Senior 1 in M&A Tax (note this doesn't include other benefits).
How did you break into Product management ? I’ve been applying to Associate Product Management roles for 2 years(over 400 applications), and only got 3 interviews . I’ve worked as an Operations M, Sn Sales representative and recently a Project M. I’ve done side projects , tailored my resume, connected with recruiters , for all that time I’ve been expanding my knowledge, getting Google UX design certification and Product Management specialization courses . 2 years later, I’m still looking.
Post final interview: it has been over 8 days and the recruiter told me that they are still making decisions. Is it likely that they’ve extended an offer and waiting for the person to accept/reject and I’m the second choice?
ZS vs KPMG vs Roland Berger? US NE office Have an offer to join rb or zs trying to determine if I should. strategy work at KPMG almost non existent in my practice. Not super hyped on healthcare but also don’t mind it. What are your thoughts? It’s basically ZS brand in NA seems to be better than RB, RB has more diverse clients and strong brand in EU
What is an average midpoint salary for a SM in EY’s consulting customer practice for the DFW area?
putting in two weeks notice soon and nervous they'll ask me to stay longer. can you negotiate extensions past two weeks to request additional compensation or would that totally burn the bridge

Started at PwC in fall of 2016, moved to D for a raise (80->125) Watching my PwC classmates who are all Sr Associates, some on cusp of Manager. Can’t help but feel left behind as a C at Deloitte. I know I’m doing fine but man still feels like maybe I was too hasty to jump 😪
is Bain really so far behind mck/BCG? surely doesn't matter that much, particularly at the pre-MBA or immediately post-MBA level
I am being required to relocate for a position that is still currently remote. Same state. Is this unreasonable?
Laughing in billable hours
What’s the expected base salary for an incoming senior consultant at Deloitte with 4+ years experience at another consulting firm?
Received negative feedback from my manager for the first time, I’ve been working for a few months now and this is the first time it’s happened; over arching theme was quality of work and communications etc. feel really shitty about it and I’m not sure how to deal - any fellow female fishies have words of advice or anecdotal insights, did you manage to turn it around? I really want to do a good job and take this very seriously - def want to leave the project on good terms with the manager
Best consulting firms in Houston for Healthcare?
Hi 🐠 I received a Sr Director job offer at a small startup (<50), with just two brief interviews with the CIO and COO. Should I see this as a red flag? (hiring rapidly to put out fires vs strategic fit)
