Been in HR for 3 years and would like to get into Global Mobility. Speaks 3 languages and have had minor exposure to visa/ immigration in my past life.
All the roles I came across so far all required 3-4 years of relevant exp - any idea on where or how I might be able to break into this field?

I got interview from UST global for Onsite position with L1 visa ., Now my CTC is 16.3 LPA with 10 YOE in Java, Springboot microservices.

How much I can expect now? To get maximum package.

Can I still apply for a visa transfer to anew employer if i don’t have an H1B stamp on my passport from my current employer? I have an approved I797 but couldn’t get the visa stamped which means my I94 has expired.

Can you do alt travel to a particular location while H1b amendment is yet to be filed for that location

Resignation dilemma: after working in a small immigration/family law firm (2 attorneys) for almost 4 years with only a 5% salary increase in that time, I was recruited for a larger family law firm (9 attorneys), offering better benefits and a 45% pay increase, but less flexibility. From what I understand, ethics is separate from legal. Legal violations have consequences, ethical violations don’t. What’s the point of ethics if there are no consequences? Sure when it’s convenient to be ethnical, everyone will be. It only matters when it’s not convenient. So should there be ethics set up with consequences like loss of job that applies evenly for everyone in the company including the CEO? Should their be financial consequences set up for smaller violations?

Ethics is a topic in computer engineering that I have had to dance around. In a federal capacity with a security clearance ethics didn't mean anything.

In small companies (especially startups), where HR may not really exist or the HR person may be the main violator, how do you deal with inappropriate behavior. If a person has been there a long time and is "too important to fire" how do you handle them?

At a startup I left because of this, my boss had been there since day 1. He was a nightmare. The last straw was when he took out his anger at a home issue on me and made fun of me for being upset. HR told me they couldn't do anything about him.
