You can become a laboratory technician with an Associate's degree. Alternatively, you could become a research assistant or science writer with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

There are many science-related fields that do not require a Bachelor's degree. For example, you can become a laboratory technician with an associate's degree or a medical laboratory technician with a diploma. Other options include becoming a science writer or a science illustrator.

In fact there are several fields that you can explore and get a job in science-related fields without having a Bachelor's degree. A very good example of this is the position of Laboratory Assistant, a position that does simple tasks to support those specialized in the area and that in turn leaves you with a great knowledge of the procedure of the processes that are carried out in the lab on a daily basis

So as a 30ish yo with a government/PE/tech background and CIPM/CIPP… I’m finding privacy work is just much easier and interesting than other kinds, but still pays plenty well.

I just find some firms are unwilling to entertain the idea that anyone but a lawyer has anything relevant to contribute in this space…

I am kind of stuck in between technical and non-technical and really don't know where to start if I am wanting to pursue a career in either, BA/PM or scrum master. Any tips?

Advice needed! I interviewed with my favorite company 3 months ago for a role I was interested in but had no experience. They were looking for someone with experience so they passed on me. The recruiter and I had a great relationship, she said she has a different role for me in mind and would give me a call when it opens up and told me I can reach out in a month or two. Hi All, I’m closing in on my 2 year mark as a PM. I started my career with a tiny startup that was acquired last year. My manager/mentor had his role expand with the acquisition and now has limited time to push me through mentorship. Curious if others have experienced this and how they confronted their mentors/found additional mentors?

Hey Designers! So I’ve been at my current design studio for a little over 10 years. It’s a small studio—2 partners, now 3 additional designers, not including me. I’ve been asked a few times over the years if I’d be interested in being a partner but have turned it down.

It’s recently come up again (potentially 5%). I still need to sit down with them and learn more, but I’m not sure I see the benefits(yet)? Any thoughts from those who’ve done this before? Thanks so much 🙏
