I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
I have worked in RE brokerage for ~3yrs. I was offered a role as a senior analyst at a smaller RE PE shop in DC ($125k all-in). Is this salary low? Also, will going to a smaller shop hurt my chances if I eventually want to work at a bigger PE firm?
Is it worthwhile trying to move to product from a strategy and ops function (at a start up currently) when you already have several years of experience in a more consulting / strategy area? Worried I’m too far down this path but also increasingly feeling like product is where both the comp and opportunities will be mid to long term
Hi all - I'm on a £100-110k base + bonus at a tier 2 firm. This is in the region where personal allowance for tax starts eroding away..
Wondering what options I have to make this as tax efficient as possible (legally), considering a salary sacrifice pension and student loan.
Also what are you investment recommendations? Stocks and Share ISA? What are the good alternatives?
Recruiter said they will arrange for a meeting with comp analyst to run numbers in a day or two. It has been a week and three days of no response? Is it worth following up or should I assume they will get back if they have an update?

Pregnant with my 1st, and a very career oriented gal, but will have no family nearby ever. With Biden's new tax policies my salary is what puts us over the $400k line, as Hubby's is the better job with better benefits and stuff. Wondering if I should just stay home for a bit, enjoy my baby and my tax incentives for the next few years. I will someday soon try for a 2nd baby as well.

Hi! My employer is B2B and I manage the day-to-day operations of our external “recruiting”; I don’t consider myself a recruiter. My team posts ads for our clients and then forwards the applicants (100% organic, no sourcing) to them. We manage all reqs (sometimes as many as 250+ at once) but do not perform any applicant screening, schedule interviews, onboarding, etc. I’m not sure how to research if my current salary is competitive for my role and, of course, market. Thoughts?
