Are there are any good forums out there that cover agency billing rates? Currently looking into a new PR firm and think their proposed rates are a bit high...

Any advice is welcome

Not sure if this is helpful but from what I learned years ago, we aren’t supposed to discuss this agency-to-agency because it’s considered price-fixing. It sounds like you’re in-house though so maybe talk with another in-house peer or colleague?

Interesting. Yes ,I’m in-house so that wouldn’t be applicable but I appreciate the insight!

What are they proposing and what are the KPIs you’re expecting? Fixed price per month or time and materials?

If you have a smaller budget fixed price per month might work out best if you have specific projects.

looking for some advice! I’m coming up on my 1 year at the company I work for. I am a General Manager of a mid-sized lodge, I manage about 12-15 employees and have no assistant manager. The job also requires you to live in property (rent free) because there is no 24/7 desk agent. Meaning every night at 9pm the after hours calls come to me. In the last 4 months I have started training new managers in the region and even going to other hotels to help onboard / open them. Continued in comments

Finally had a chat with my boss this week requesting a raise. They said they don’t have the final say over salaries. He has to ask the 2 main company directors and will have an answer for me in 1-2 weeks

I’m already below market rate and really trying to level up with rising costs of living etc. Plus I want to earn what I’m worth in the market now if I can

Any advice if they return with a lower than expected offer? I haven’t had any bump in 3 years and don’t want to settle for less anymore
