Are there benefits for female junior level employees to have female performance leads?

It depends on the person. I've had a female manager that remains a mentor to me to this day, but she's 20+ years older than I am. It's easier to look up to her than it would be if we were similar ages in my experience.

How do you handle handoff/transition before going on maternity leave? I will be going on maternity leave in 3 months and need to put together a transition plan so that someone can take care of my work while I am out. I want to make sure nothing falls through the crack but at the same time don’t want to train someone to do 100% of my job - that would make my role redundant if someone can just take over right? Plus the company is going through restructuring now too. How would you handle this?

Hello! 23 y/o, 2nd year analyst who is ~hopefully receiving her first bonus and wondering what tax elections / retirement elections I should make? I max my Roth, and should be close to maxing my 401K, but wondering if it makes sense to dump it in trad 401K to avoid the taxes? Otherwise would I just keep my normal paycheck contributions and call it a day? Thanks!

I have 20k in HYSA and 7K in stock brokerage. I am looking to buy an investment property in the next year or two but need around 50K for a down payment. I want to direct 20k yearly into my 401k for tax benefits, but is it smarter to keep it in an HYSA to use it for the rental? Can I liquidate the 401 to buy a rental or are there hidden fees/taxes?

Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. I currently am contracted with a disabilities agency in the vocational services side of things, working for $20/hr with no benefits. I realize this is a very low paying job, but I do not know the extent of the career options with the degree I have. I’d like to ask, what would be the highest paying/most rewarding career options for me?

What’s the general guidance on the order to maximize retirement contributions for tax benefits for an normal individual and for a self employed/small business owner before moving to taxable accounts or alternate vehicles like cash value life policies?
I’ve seen for individual: match trad 401k->match roth 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max trad 401k->max roth 401k->max HSA
For self employed: max SEP IRA/solo 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max HSA

Of course situations differ but in general?

I have a non-stem bachelors and had to do a Masters in Data Analytics to become a “data scientist” and have had the title for about 2 years now. However, the work I’m doing isn’t very interesting and is mostly dash-boarding/extracting basic insights from data, and I still feel like I’m limited so am seriously considering a software engineering boot camp to be able to jump into big tech and work on interesting stuff. Anyone did something similar?
