With the long processing times PERM, is anyone here expecting gap in work? My PERM is expected this Dec2022 but my H1B expires on Feb2023. Not sure if EAD/GC will be received by Feb2023 and so my employer says that, I have to be terminated in payroll and rehire once I receive EAD. But luckily can stay in US since they will be able to file I-140/485 before Feb2023. I am just curious how to extend driver’s license, etc since this is also tied to expiration of H1B. Had a question regarding H1B visa Transfer - Change of Employer. USICS website says that my Form I-129 is approved as of today. Should I wait until I get the physical approval notice or am I good to move ?

I am a Web Developer based in Grand Rapids, MI. My primary focus is Magento development and managing / building the 7 sites my company owns. I do front and back-end development. I got a raise from $12.50 an hour as an intern to $22 an hour 6 months before I got my degree. I was happy with this raise initially. A year later, I am 6 months out of my degree and have 3 years of experience at this company. They gave me a 5% raise which puts me a $24 an hour. Is this fair considering I got my degree.

How does PERMs work for non-technical, common roles? Like I know there’s a lot or people who’d want to work for big 4 or tech firms (ex. Tech firm senior auditor roles, there’s probably a lot of applicants with similar backgrounds) - in this case I find it hard to believe that they won’t find a qualified applicant since those roles are so popular / experience standard is not as rigorous.. is it common for PERMs to fail?
