Are there decent exit opportunities for B4 indirect tax (technical/legal side) in the tech industry? Would it be better to leave at Senior or manager? How does it compare to international tax exit ops to tech?

What’s typical compensation like at each step (senior, manager, SM, director) for non-tech forensics at Big 4? What about places like FTI, AlixPartners, A&M?

How is tech consulting in big 4 different from other consulting firms like ibm, capgemini etc?

Not sure how consulting firms expect to retain talent out of undergrad if they barely raise pay. Left consulting after 1 year, end of 2nd year and I’m at 180k comp now with friends at D and PWC barely hitting 85. I know seniors at D not even making 100k

Shot at W: 760, 3.3 from top 30 (top 10 engineering), mediocre EC, 1 year at small company, 3.5 years at b4 consulting at matriculation with early promo. Not planning to apply because I see it as a long shot but want someone to confirm for me hahah

Does anyone have insight into Houlihan and/or Alvarez for M&A tax? I don’t know anyone at either firm, so I thought I’d ask. The pay seems similar (maybe little higher at A&M but depends on bonuses), but can anyone help me compare the two in other ways? Any info helps but I’m curious about complexity of deals (vs B4), WLB, culture, growth potential (for the deals group and the firm overall), and any other differences I should think about. Why would anyone work in consulting especially big 4 when tech companies pay so much more? Almost equal base salary with massive RSUs and stock appreciation and WAY BETTER work life balance. Just a thought!
