Audit staff 1 currently. Is right now a good time to ask for transfer to forensics? I know forensics is getting a lot of work lately. But not sure if they would take a staff 1 as opposed to a senior. Any suggestions? Should I start by messaging some forensics managers?

Applied for a B4 senior forensic role, but was not even granted an interview after my initial phone screen with HR; I’m confused why because i thought they needed bodies. My background includes 4 years of forensic experience on multiple investigations and program oversights, 5 years in other professional, non-forensic roles, and i have both a CFE and a CPA under my belt. The phone screen was basically HR asking if i have used google suite and tableau

2 questions:

1. Amongst all the big PA firms, who has the strongest forensic service line?

2. CAMS or CFE or CFF?(already a CPA).
