How has working from home impacted your billable hours? What we’re your best and worst days for billing since WFH started?
Looking for gift ideas for my mother’s 60th birthday. She’s mentioned a necklace with pearls, but I’m having a hard time finding something nice and dainty for everyday wear. Any suggestions on jewelers? Also welcome ideas outside aforementioned. My mother isn’t one with a lot of wants so she asked that I surprise her.
For those of you who spent a long time in big law (at least 10 years but more along the lines of 15+), when did you know it was time to do something else (maybe in the law, maybe not)? I don’t know if it’s wfh or just the work now, but I’m finding myself getting amazingly frustrated at things that barely bothered me before. I had an argument with opposing counsel last week and was seeing red for hours after that, and little things seem to bother me much much more than they would have before
Continue living in with parents where you’re constantly stressed out (and paying $650/month) or move to a nice studio in NYC/SF for $1500/month? That’s a $10k YoY difference + I’ll likely be WFH through 2021 so it doesn’t seem like such an easy choice. Thoughts?
If your team is working from home, do you check their Skype and ping them every now and then to make sure they are not leaving their desk? I don’t like it when people are not immediately available.
What's the client side equivalent of an advisory manager? Manager, director, VP? Other? Generally speaking - of course.
Is anyone looking for opportunities in programmatic? Austin has proven a tough market for hiring talent
I was laid off in June and just got a job offer that I am excited about. However, my partner and I are also in discussions about moving. The job would be remote for at least another 5+ months so it wouldn’t be an issue now, but eventually people will be back in the office in some hybrid plan. Is it better to float the possibility of working remote long term with HR now? Or do I accept and say nothing til we’ve officially decided to move. I don’t want to lose the opportunity. What would u do?
Anyone know how well Deloitte's life science and healthcare practice is doing and what type of projects they work on?
I make 300k a year but pay a significant amount in fed, state and local taxes due to living in NYC. I max out my 401k already. Any other ways to decrease my taxes so I can save more and retire early?
Had no billable work and spent the entire day yesterday in bed. Today, I‘ve gotten enough work that I’ll be working the entire weekend. Why does it always happen that way 🤦🏽♀️
Is it the salary growth that drives you or the management (power)? I feel like after a certain level it’s all about the latter
What's the best way to sell ACN ESPP stock and invest it in a fund/index, etc? Can I rollover for example? And does that solution impact whether I should do share vs payroll withholding?
