8 months till I graduate with a Masters degree focusing on Finance. Anyone willing to refer me for an Analyst role at any of the IBs/VC firms or Finance Consulting role at Big 4/MBB preferably in NYC? International Student here. Thank You.
I’m considering pursuing a Finance & Strategy role at Salesforce. Could someone please tell me about the culture within this organization and within the Chicago office? I know that no job is perfect, I just want improvement from where I’m at. What I’m looking for: good pay (~$140k, 10 YOE), clearly defined roles and responsibilities, great team members and a strong manager (that don’t try to be “family”), and work that doesn’t require me to work well into the evening/on weekends consistently.
How hard is it to move to FAANG from a relatively unknown boutique consulting firm? Are there extra leaps compared to MBB or Big 4, or if you get a referral you have similar odds?
Am I the only one weirded out by these mass spreadsheets of individuals who have been laid off? Is anyone really looking to these for hiring purposes?
Shared this in a comment thread on another post and want to get thoughts — I’m at 9 interviews for an M role at a startup (close to unicorn). The final loops were early this week and the recruiter reached out today to schedule one final interview focused on skills not in the job description. Should I just pull the plug?
wanted to do m&a Tax. was told there was no opening in my area for m&a but yes in international corporate tax advisory. have an interview next week. did not know this los existed. coming from mid size doing core tax. anyone know about this and what hours/comp/type of work is like? tia
Has anyone here interviewed for Accenture’s product analyst role? Have an interview coming up tm and would appreciate any last minute advice. I really don’t know what to expect but have been studying the cracking the pm interview book
Got stood up for a final round for a large tech firm. Interviewers didn't show and the calendar invite was sent a week in advance. Also noticed that the original position I was recruiting for was removed from the company's career section. Does this mean they moved on? Really wanted this role. Feeling down.
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Anyone hiring for an entry level strategist? My rock star intern is graduating and we don't have an open position.
I just got an appointment for collecting my h1b stamp in Jamaica nov 5. Many openings there if anyone needs.
I am going from C to SC in a very short span of time in my career, assuming I accept a job offer. What are some major changes that I will face? WLB? Responsibility? Leading a team without concrete prior experience in leading? Will I survive in that role so young into my career?
How easy is it to move from a tax client service internship into a fulltime advisory role upon graduation?
Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.
What is the Exit opportunities in EY GDS? Will there be chance to land product company jobs from there?
Any UK capital market consultant/managers looking to join Accenture? Hit me up if you want a referral
Would it be smart move to exit to Mitre for slightly better pay? If anyone has insight into brand reputation—debating whether it will be a long term mistake and to hold out and keep searching for roles in tech while I have the Acn brand name on my side
Being recruited at Deloitte, currently a Strategy Manager with high pay, equivalent role at D, is it possible to get 250K+ im base and 100K+ in signing bonus? and whatever the perf bonus is?

Anybody done the Hilton Grand Vacations package in Hawaii? Where you sit through a timeshare pitch for 70% discount on hotel. Was it worth it? Was the property nice? Hidden fees?
Ready to walk away without an exit. Wife and I are comfortable with allocating 6-9 months of savings to find my inner peace and a new job. Any tips?
I want to get my start into marketing/advertising as a junior strategist and so I was wondering if anyone had tips when it comes to resume, portfolio, interviewing, etc.? Especially considering my lack of direct m/a background (mostly self-taught) compared to folks from miami ad school or vcu
Any parents work on the financial due diligence team at a B4? Interested in seeing how the hours are and if I can make it work with kids.
Got an offer for 110k TC for a data engineering role at a T2 tech company. I have 2 YOE. Currently at 84k. Both current role and offer are located in Toronto. Should I take it?
Im currently at 70K and due for promotion. Is 95K too much to expect when being promoted to Account Supervisor internally? (FYI it’s Pharma)
If I put in my notice right before the holiday weekend, will they ask me to leave that day or should I just wait till we get back?
How many unused vacation days did ya’ll throw away in 2017? Most of the M’s/SM’s/PPMD’s I know have saved the max and take less than two weeks each year. Wondering if this is common across the D.
I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.
I’m applying to a program that sends students to various banks and PE firms. The entire recruitment process is highly competitive and I’m seeking advice on how to prepare/approach the interviews. I am starting the Breaking into Wall Street Guides, but am iffy on articulating technical questions in a concise way. Any advice (also regarding behaviorals and overall how to impress the admissions committee)?
SFDC and CPQ skills are in high demand. DM to if you’re interested in referral and are looking to come to ACN
Anybody hiring junior account, media, or strategy roles? I know a recent college grad who has done an internship as a social media manager and helped to promote businesses on their personal social media. Hard worker with relevant experience.
Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I feel so inferior compared to my friends at medical school or those who went to Ivy post grads. I went straight to Accenture right after college and while I’m so grateful for having a good job, I just feel like I haven’t done enough and will never realize certain financial goals at the rate I’m going. The problem is I’ve never really been good at setting attainable goals and often get discouraged and feel as though I can never be “the high achiever”
I’ve been through 5+ weeks of interviews with a company that will IPO next year and they did a bait and switch on me with the offer: it was advertised as “Head of” and then during the offer-walk-through-meeting today they said “oh btw we changed the title to ‘Senior Manager’ for this role”. They offered me a salary I made 4 years ago as a manager. They offered stock options with an exercise price TBD 1 year from now…which is when they’re hitting IPO. Is that normal for stock options?
Anyone have salary Intel for a Senior Consultant Deal Desk role at Deloitte? Any feedback on the role?
Does anyone know if Deloitte is still filling green card applications for audit? I looked up on Dnet and seems like it’s paused for advisory, but just wanted to confirm. Also, how can I start this conversation with a partner to obtain sponsorship approval? I don’t think any of the partners I worked with is familiar with the process, so I’m lost with how to initiate this convo. Lastly, I know this varies case by case, but how long does it typically take from initiating the app to rec the card? TY
