This question might anger some, but not meant to be provoking. Does anyone else feel that half the jobs in tech (scrum master, project manager, product manager, etc.) are more hindering than helpful? I feel like productivity would sky rocket if we didn’t have 10+ hours a week added of admin work/agile ceremonies/status meetings, and you just let developers and analysts do their job. Why are we spending hours learning how to estimate story points (for example) rather than improving production?

Anyone worked through We Are Rosie before? Interviewed for a contract role with a fairly large client through them yesterday and really want the gig but not sure what / if anything to expect.

I just had to explain to a business client why it’s probably a waste of time to draft a subcontract before we receive at least a first draft of the prime government contract. (“Yes Mr. Client, the subcontract will reuse the parts from prior subcontracts with the sub that make sense.”)

Trying to renegotiate comp as the scope of my role has increased. My role is part Project Manager + Program Manager + Content Management + Consumer Insights Research. Right now at 125 + bonus but no stock grants/options. Looking at total comp in tech seems those roles are closer to $200-250k total comp. Okay finance lawyers. I don't understand this issue. Client says books show we're highly profitable but we have no way to pay our tax liability.... Well where the hell did tbe money go ? Client also claims that they are only taking a small portion of the revenue as profit. I don't understand how your books can be different than reality.

I received offer form Mindtree and I have accepted too. They have given me joining date as 15th November. But in my current company they extended my lwd. I requested my spoc from Mindtree for extending my joining date by a week. I haven't heard anything from Mindtree after the mail and spoc is not attending my calls now.
Do anyone faced similar situation and do Mindtree is very stringent with extending joining date??
