Are watches (omega etc) part of your net worth?

In the strictest sense, you can justify adding them, especially given the resale market for them.

I personally don’t count any of my personal property, including cars. That’s due to the utility of my net worth calculation to me. I use it to track how I’m pacing for retirement compared to my goal number. Since I’m not planning on drawing on those personal property assets (nor am I expecting them to appreciate (yes, they could, of course)), it makes no sense for me to add them to my calculation of net worth as their addition doesn’t help the analysis for which I use the number.

Why would any asset not be? Question is do you want to keep track of every asset you have.

I only include my wedding ring. Depending on the pp of the watch I’d include that too

The assets I carry are house (less mortgage of course) and cars. I probably should consider putting my spouse’s ring on our books but like someone else said it just depends how many assets you want to track.

I include anything I have separately insured at a specific value, for my family that’s our wedding rings, cars and house, the loans I show as liabilities.

Only home and stock portfolios I count . Cars , Rolex watch etc I exclude .

Hi ladies! I’m on the tech side, previously cloud engineer. One of my personal goals is to work abroad, specifically London, and to be at a firm that allows for this flexibility. Pre-COVID I was to transfer to our London office which was paused of course. I fluctuate between being so grateful for my job rn but also itching to move, esp while younger. Any insights on where to look? Also considering bringing this back up with my manager but nervous about being naive given the state of the world.
