But don’t forget: Any damage to your car (wreck coming or going or in the airport parking lot) is on you. And your plane delays may cause you to be extremely tired driving home late (and possibly ‘under the influence’ if you drink) on a Thursday night.
The mileage and the parking
It’s whatever Concur gives you; yes I believe so.
Why not just use a car service Monday morning?
Some good points here. Yes, mileage is reimbursable, but you have to subtract out the distance from your home to your office, which can completely negate any mileage depending where you live in relation to the office and airport. And the biggest thing is insurance/damage to your car; if anything happens to, from, or at the airport, any expense to fix your car will be 100% on you (and insurance increases, etc.). Due to this, it’s really not worth taking your own car when traveling for business in my opinion. For your ride Monday morning, just schedule an Uber the night before.
Very practical approach but challenge I have faced is Uber/Lyft sometimes late on Monday mornings even after scheduling a night earlier, facing rude drivers and long list.can we use Uber black/Better?
Yes. Mileage (minus miles between home and office). There’s a concur expense option for this which then walks you through the process
Of course! Use to do it all the time to save the hassle of waiting for Uber etc
Wait - is it true that we can charge mileage to and from the airport as well?? I’ve only ever charged the parking fee.
Absolutely can. Minus the mileage from your home to the office
