Lot of HH and PE firms encourage consultants to wait to do on cycle during second year. With how the cycle has been delayed and everyone has been working remote there’s definitely no disadvantage for mbb second years I would almost consider it an advantage.

I did UMM as 3rd year and it actually helped me. I didn’t recruit 2nd year but in my 3rd year I got promoted to post MBA and during DD’s would start going to management meetings / ICs and presenting. So my vantage point of the deal process and understanding was much deeper. Don’t psych yourself out about it.

This is spot on - I had been to multiple ICs and actually presented at some. It was a huge confidence booster.
