Are you finding it easy or challenging to translate your "in person" lessons to an online format?

It’s been quite challenging. I’ve made some of my materials digital friendly. Of course this is time consuming. Teachers Pay Teachers has been very helpful but I have to be careful with how much money I’m spending.

Challenging. It took a bit of time to find my rhythm and timing of lessons.

I find that it’s best not to translate in person to online. I think of remote/online/distance learning as another animal altogether. That way I’m not trying to recreate a traditional experience. It’s just not possible. When I think of it as a different way of teaching it pushes me to think outside of that traditional box. Don’t know if this makes sense. But it’s helped me.

To all the post-9/11 veterans, it’s a somber day that unites us all in the reason we fought. It’s easy to forget - especially with the younger generation having 9/11 be a history lesson rather than something they lived through. The waters became muddy with two wars and politicians, but you all stepped up and did your duty. Thank you all for your service, it’s an honor whether we crossed paths or not.

Curious to know if there are folks out there who are genuinely scared of driving like me? I’m in my early 30s and I’ve been terrified of getting my driver’s license for years because it seems everyone drives so fast and I’m scared of crashing. This is now starting to affect my relationship because my s/o thinks I’m just lazy to get the license when I’ve reiterated that I’m scared and even tried doing lessons but i wasn’t comfortable. How does one overcome this fear?

You just finished teaching a skill / topic in your lesson. Children are now off to work on that skill independently: who are you targeting first to support, your students in the red or your students in the yellow?

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

Feeling depressed because I just did a more realistic budget calculation for a March trip to Spain. B/w the need for refundable flight and hotels (I normally do airbnb and don’t care about refundable flights, and I don’t have enough miles and can only get us partial coverage at 1 hotel out of 2) plus covid tests, the trip is about $1000-2000 more/pp than I anticipated. I don’t think my SO’s gonna want to spend the money to go..Should probs look into backup intl locations 😭
