Are you generally home free once you close on a home? If you wanted to quit your job and go back to school and could still keep up with payments, would anyone care as long as you pay everything on time?

Yeah that should work

Yes. Nobody cares unless you want to refinance. Refinancing requires you to re-qualify.

I guess you could say, yes, you are “home free.”

I recently started my first post-college job as a software developer and have to make a decision pretty soon: front-end development or back-end development. I really like being closer to the user and the creativity as far as front-end. But I also reallly really enjoy math and logic and the more complex side to back-end. My dream would be to do full stack but thats not an option. Scared of getting pigeon holed. Any suggestions as to what to do / tips?

I’ve been reading some articles making a case for lower rates in 2023… obviously no one knows but does anyone agree/think it might be lower next year?

Hey all ! Need some guidance . I am planning to buy 2bd ,2ba in Atlanta near grant park , Inman park , reynoldstown , cabbage town , OFW area . Budget is 250,000 to 350000. It is more from investment purposes than anything else . Also my thinking is that buying place near belt-line will promise me better returns . First timer, on h1b and a female (single and no family ) if that helps . Need some guidance on my thought process and also referral on a real state agent

Lender shopping before I close out on my first home. Is 3.5% a good rate for putting 20% down on a home? How can I go about having my lender match other lenders? For context, the home I’m building in Texas has a lender that will cover $5k in closing costs if I go with them, and that’s the rate they’re giving me. I realize the rates are going back up and just wanted any advice on if it’s best to lock that in the next week or keep shopping as my closing is May 14. Thanks in advance!

What are the best ways to reduce my out of pocket expenses when buying, this can be negotiating options or other ideas? I’m 25 and a first time home buyer and would like to keep a good amount in my savings. I plan on only putting 3% down and am looking for homes within the 350-400 range but received a pre approval for up to 600.

Realistically how long does a custom build take? Not a development neighborhood. I know “it depends” but curious on averages. I’m in Southern California.
