Not a great sign. Take it as a warning to get off your bum and get into the office to network and get yourself staffed.

funny

PwC3 such a bad take.

Networking with leadership = you know all the projects coming in the pipeline and get first dibs to help on the good ones

It’s not crumbling. Lots of people geared towards FDD

Also got a similar email at another Big4. Have a feeling layoffs are coming. Work has dried up in consulting

Must be KPMG then

Even if they do fire you, why would you wanna work somewhere that pays you to do a job and expects you to work two full time jobs?

I mean how was the email addressed? You specifically? Probably not great

I had one addressed to me my second week at a firm lol. A year and 2 jobs later I’m working 80+ a week at a firm no one’s ever heard of 🤷‍♂️

Not a great sign - probably worth considering external opportunities.

Question for those that are familiar with how severance pay works. I received a package a while back and was paid bi-weekly severance. The payments ended a few months ago but just the other day I had a severance deposit. Curious if it’s possible to get additional payment at this point or does this look like a mistake? I know the logical answer might be to just call but I’ll be honest in that I am still looking for a job and this would definitely help me. Thanks for your advice!

I was told I needed to improve my performance in January and all the check ins I’ve had I was told I’m doing much better and was put on multiple long term projects and then this happened. I’m in shock and idk if 2 months severance is good bad?!? Idk thoughts?

A previous employer reached out and offered me a Senior Product Designer role with a 40% increase base salary. I am considering this, as I have been feeling under utilized at my current role + dealing with of uncertainty lately. But I would be forfeiting a lot of RSUs if I leave. I am in the middle of my vesting period (2/4 yrs), and this year alone would have 256 shares vesting (~$500 share price). The new role will come with shares, but at a small share price. Anyone had similar experience?

Hey Everyone! I’ve unfortunately just got laid off from my company. This is my second time in 5 months getting laid off due to budget cuts. Quite frankly, I’m drained and in need of leads. I’m seeking a full time FINTECH company, but I’m open to opportunities because beggars can’t be choosers. Feel free me if you know of anything! —-thank you!

Edit: What is the best way to tell a PM or a PEP that this project isn't for you, and that it doesn't align with your career goals without getting kicked off too soon to negatively impact your utilization? The project is ABSOLUTELY horrendous and a mess. It is glorified admin work which is not what I want to do. Is there a way to tell that to senior management without getting a negative reaction?
