Are you guys back to gym already? If yes do you feel safe, wearing mask even during cardio? And what protocols does your gym have to ensure people’s safety?

"already"? It's been a year and a half mate. 95% of people are going to the gym with no mask.

Because I still have an office in NYC, lived there for years, and am an NY attorney.

I've been working out with other people since last July. Did it with a face mask and then got vaxed as soon as I could. I don't wear the mask anymore but would if mandated. No issues so far.

This is the correct behavior.

Yes ive been going since early this year and i do cardio outdoor but weights with mask on

I don’t do cardio

I turned half my garage into a weight room. So no mask there. But for cardio, I took up fencing. Technically, we now do need to wear masks under our fencing masks, but I can deal with that. (I wear Buff gaiters—just Ike I wear skiing, same thing on planes.) Weight training with a mask on, I couldn’t do. But when I’m at my place in FL I do go to the gym, but no mask requirements down there. Unless you’re going to the post office!

Yes! Been back to the gym for a little while (granted I’m from the Long Island area), had also been going on occasion last year with a friend.
Depends on the gym/boutique - some heavily wipe down all the equipment for you, most don’t (which means you wipe it down yourself but it’s easy to do). I wear a mask, sometimes lower it but at this point mostly only to drink water. Not everyone wears a mask from what I see.
The gyms in my area don’t section off machines or limit capacity to my knowledge anymore. Might be different by gym and by town/region.

Every eqx I’ve been to is full of people with no mask. Most people are over it

Been at the boxing gym weekly since last Nov. It’s where I stack my risk credits, because it’s non-negotiable.

My fiancé just made Aliyah for med school. Long distance is hard but I love my job/firm culture. I wish I could stay, but I’ll need to switch to a firm that allows working abroad in a year at the latest. In a year, we get married and I make Aliyah too. I’m afraid to tell anyone at my firm. I’m also looking for American companies that pay well and allow employees to live in Israel. Thoughts? Advice?

I had a big post-bar trip planned traveling and originally planned to comeback Sept. 15th. My lawfirm told me that the start date was Sept. 19th in may to plan trips. We just got an email last week there was a mistake and the firm said they made a mistake and the start date is now the 12th. I asked for flexibility and I got a response that there is none. I will be out a few hundred dollars almost 1K and a big dent in the trip now. Should I keep pushing or should I just count my losses and fold.

Landed a job in NYC. As much as I want to live there and will be moving in with my partner I think the most financially savvy option is to live in Jersey city to save on the city tax. Both our salaries would definitely go up next year so moving to the city would be a huge possibility in 2022. Has anyone else started our in Jersey city first ? Is it worth it or should I just try to make it work in NYC ?
