No. I miss technical work, I hate being a M, having to deal with all this bureaucratic BS (invoicing, billing, etc) rather than actually applying my brain.
I also *loathe* being off the road—things were far better prior to March 2020.
Oh, and I live 7 hours from my family and friends because… reasons? Because I’m “based” here? Because big daddy Firm says so. And I’m tired of the damn driving, to come back to this faraway city and WFH, and my growing workload is getting in the way of getting to my family when needed.
I’m considering it. I started “behind the curtain” in enablement, doing innovative stuff, then switched into client service when my practice went through a reorg where those roles were moved to IT and out of the business. Now I’m considering going back behind the curtain where I can innovate again without the pressures of utilization etc. I’m not interested in SM/partner promo down the line anyway
No. I do great work and work hard as hell but I’m still struggling to build up a savings. Things aren’t adding up salary wise
