What level would you move to in a pharma company (strategy role) with 6 years of experience in Life Sciences consulting? I’m seeing ADs with at least 5 years more experience. Manager profiles seem to be more aligned with my experience, but I’m not sure if the salary is higher for manager than where I’m at (62k base)
Anyone received a compensation increase after comp discussion? Just evaluating the chances
Looking for salary info for senior manager, Valuation. Mid - high COLs. Have two offers that I would like to evaluate (one big4; another mid size). TIA!!
I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.
Anyone know EY manager Oracle/SAP salary range?
For those who exit to industry, do you find recruiters lowball? They often quote a salary based on YOE and their standard pay - often lower because their salary progression is slower. 4YOE at consulting you make $120k~$150k but they quote $100k because that’s how they pay their homegrown analysts. Nobody thus far thinks 4y at consulting is worth 5-6 YOE, I’ve even met someone who only match me to their 2-3 YOE analyst because they think their program is more prestigious and want to hold me back.
Is it me or are recruiter douchebags? Today, I met with one to discuss a potential job offer and he was rude asf. Like, what’s up his ass haha! Maybe my salary expectation was higher than his current pay? Haha! Do you all have an experience you could share?

Has any of you been outsourced and underpaid a slave salary? How do you deal with the trauma of knowing that the work you have been doing for so long is actually worth so much more? I'm sorry to use this bowl for this kind of conversation but I'm having suicidal thoughts and sadly my only other option is also been outsourced.
I had six hours worth of Zoom interviews with an AmLaw100 firm on Monday and Tuesday last week. I haven’t heard back on anything yet - when is “too” long to have not heard back and when should I reach out to their in-house recruiter for some kind of update?
Senior Buyer whose specialty is electronic components with 27 years of experience. Recently ended up in the medical world and realizing I under sold myself. Management asked me to do an analysis and come up with a number. My current salary is 82k. In our industry with the same experience etc. jobs are posted for up to 108k. Management mentioned that they want to keep people and they pay their worth. I got this position through a recruiter. Any information good bad or indifferent is appreciated!

I go on maternity leave soon, and my firm offers 16 weeks paid leave, which I plan to fully take advantage of. The only female shareholder in our office keeps pushing me to only take 6 weeks though, because that's what she did. I feel really put off by her comments, but its also making me feel guilty about taking the full time. This is mostly a vent, but if anyone wants to give me some words of wisdom or thoughts, I will take them!
Moving to work in NY from the UK, maybe in January to give me some more time to prep. I would really appreciate any advice with looking for rentals, neighborhoods to go for / avoid, and general tips for the upcoming move. I am on ~$80k base salary, and a bit lost in terms of what is feasible for me. TIA

Currently in financial services tax WAM federal group at B4, manager. Seriously considering the exit and have been applying actively in various industries (not the typical PE or hedge funds in house role). Which industry is the best in terms of growth opportunities and pay? Fintech? Info/technology? E-learning? My end goal is becoming a head of tax and I want to choose my first industry role wisely. Don't want to get pigeonholed into a dying industry.

Have an offer from a startup in a high growth space; however, I would be taking a 14% pay cut for the role. The managers are nice, the team is small, and good promotion opportunities. Any advice here? Role is out of Austin.
