I am slowly increasing my emergency fund (I started it with just 1-2 months expenses), and as it gets bigger, I may use a part of it for an opportunistic buy for really unusual market moves, but I do so with the full knowledge that it’s probably the “wrong” timing, so most of my investing is automated.
