Blacks, yes. POC, no.

Yes. No but one would hope they’ll do the same
Absolutely! I’ve been supported and pay it forward most always. By nature, I’m very intentional about the support that I provide to others - it’s simply the way I was raised. (The Golden Rule). I will admit I go the extra mile for Black people because I believe in us. As an HBCU grad, I recognize that unity and greatness amongst us exists and I also know that we are more than capable of supporting each other. To weed out those not on the same page - I pay close attention to peoples actions more so than their words and from that I can tell who is also there to support me. People will show you who they are - believe them, the first time.
Yes and yes. I follow the premise of “lift as you climb.” I’ve had some terrible experiences at Accenture from the cliquey culture created by non-POC. So, if I can help another black person avoid that all together and point them to opportunities that suit their skills/interests without emotionally draining them, I will.
ALL OF THIS! I left D because of this very reason

I am intentional about supporting the family, 100%, and I set the expectation for the same. You do not have to like me or even be a happy colored brotha (or insert other genders here) but what you won’t do is having me out here looking stupid like these uncolored people.

Yes, yes (“support”)
Yes, I would hope so
No and No.
*Assuming it’s some random black person. I’ll support you when I get to know you and you’re worth supporting. Likewise, If I perform like ass and show no promise, I’m not expecting anybody to support me.
I understand this. Thanks for sharing.
Yes and yes. I have often been in positions where there are so few of us that we HAVE to look out for each other.

I should clarify I do my best to support black people however and wherever I can regardless of whether that support is reciprocated.
It’s not about quid pro quo. It’s about bringing as many along as I possibly can
I expect nothing from anyone especially in the workplace.. i support those who support me.. all skin folk aint ur kin folk
Are you the lol- er about my laptop bag and purse? If so, your comment makes sense

Absolutely Yes and Absolutely Yes.
A rising tide lifts all ships.
Yes I am intentional. No, I have no expectation others would support me, but it’s definitely appreciated when it happens
