No, it is optional and most likely may become prohibited as the numbers continue to rise.

We, except a couple people who are immuno compromised, come to our building 5 days a week and do our lessons from our classroom.

No, we aren’t required at all.

I run an ED (emotional disturbance) program in the high school I work in. I was shown my classroom and that was it. Told to create the program however I want. I do not want it to turn into a study hall (all students on my caseload are at least 80% in with Gen Ed population). And I want to try and get away from point sheets. Any ideas/resources anyone would like to share?

I teach a self-contained special ed class for grades K-2, mild/moderate. I have a student with extreme behaviors, including destroying the classroom. My walls have been bare for months because he keeps tearing everything off of them. We will have open house in May. How can I "dress up" my room for open house without him destroying it? Should I collect artwork/work samples, and set them aside until the night of open house?
