I like to say I am- but I watch some of the things that other nurses say and I worry that I am not as supportive as I should be. I need to stick up for them more.

I love new nurses but often time they lack critical thinking. That is not something that can be taught during orientation. I often see new grads in the ICU and even people with Masters degree and I wonder if I trust their patient care. At my work, I have witnessed that during orientation, new nurses are oriented on tasky things and not critical thinking. It also sucks that for administration, we’re just bodies.

What do people consider old? I’m 37 and feel so young inside but am starting to see clear signs of aging. I’ve always considered myself pretty and it’s been difficult realizing I am no longer young. I always hated the attention I got but now that it’s fading, it makes me sad. Anyone else experience this?

So I’m probably thinking too much. But I’m looking to leave public accounting and have an opportunity with internal audit. I want to make sure where I go I have good opportunities to advance and if needed be marketable to other companies. Do you think internal audit makes you more or less marketable to other opportunities in the future?

Hi Tcsers,
My Current CTC: 4LPA
YOE: 3 years

I got an offer 11LPA from one of the WITCH company and I told same to my manager and my manager told me that they will provide a hike and I would get between 8LPA-10LPA in TCS and told me to reject that offer and I did the same. now it is 3rd month no update from him I am asking him on every 15 days interval but he is saying that there is an organizational restructure happening because of that it is getting delayed.
Is he lying?

Hi Fishes,

The Variable Pay Bonus (VPN) is usually credited in August Month's salary (31st August). My question is , if I am on notice during that time , will I get my bonus? Since Bonus is calculated based on previous years performance. Also , another trailing question is , do I have to pay it back if my LWD is sometime in September?

Per diem/contract/travel nurses-Okay so I’m currently working full time and have a per diem gig as well. I would love to drop my full time employment and work as a “full time” per diem nurse making my own schedule. I’m not married, so my biggest issue obviously becomes health insurance. Looking for some advice/recommendations from anyone who has been in the same boat and how you navigated this scenario? I know some agencies offer benefits, but what if I am not working for any agency? Thanks!!
