EY is really flexible. I understand the idea that it stifles growth. In my opinion it just takes a bit more work on the remote individual’s end to create the networking that is next to effortless when in person.
Remote is a challenge for some roles. If you are an business analyst who has to sit with a front line associate to model the process and replicate the same for a bot, remote doesn’t cut it. In the office, observing the associate to mimic the process helps capture more details of the process. However this is not the case for all instances. If you are an individual contributor who produces work products with minimal instruction then remote works great.
Crowe is really flexible! The business unit I’m in has allowed fully remote work since before the pandemic. We work from where makes sense, whether that’s a client site, office, home, coffee shop, beachside resort… it’s truly amazing and means we can hire people regardless of where their homes and families are based.
