Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

Why would you regret it? Take that offer now.
If you hate in-house, you should be able to make the jump to big law — especially if you’re able to bring a chunk of that in-house business with you to a firm.
Articling? I am not familiar with this term, can you explain?
I think there is the potential for too many cultural differences for any advice that I could give from a US perspective to be really helpful. In the US, I wouldn't recommend it. It is very rare for a recent graduate to go in-house as their first job. I don't think it would play well if you want to go into big law afterwards. Big law tends to be pretty close-minded, even elitist, and they expect to see a big law foundation before going in house and would probably be leary of a resume without that experience. But that is just my perspective from the US. It may be different where you are.
Not enough info for American lawyers to give you feedback, you’d need to explain what city you’re in and what your speciality is
